An older Guardian stepped out from behind two big wooden doors, "Nimueh [enter last name here (xD)]?" she asked and smiled slightly, a French accent coating her words.
She smiled in response, "That's me, I'm Francesca. Its a pleasure to finally meet you, Sam's been going non-stop about you and how you're his best student, he can't stop singing praises." she grinned and laughed.
Francesca chuckled then got serious, "Let's get down to business, shall we? I assume he's told you the general outline of what your assignment will be on?"
She nodded, then proceeded to give her the rest of the details, "You'll be heading downtown, further down from the Nightclub, generally packed with people and lingering Strigoi. We want you to just observe, nothing more, until sooner or later, an attack happens. It shouldn't take too long, the area's well-known for...animal attacks like these. You see someone getting attacked and you jump into action. We want to see how you can handle it, and if need be--which will most likely the case--fight and kill." she narrowed her eyes, thinking, "Don't worry if you get into too much trouble you can't handle, there'll be other Guardians there, watching out for you, so you're in safe hands."
Francesca nodded, already impressed with Nimueh's strong and resilient spirit, "We'll be assessing you even when you're not in action. You can head out at whatever time you want and wherever your chosen destination is, just be ready and have whatever equipment you need with you. Are you clear on everything? Any questions?"
"No thank you, I'll go back to my dorm and prepare myself." She smiled and headed out, waving goodbye.((ok go to the town? and just an update, she'll be wearing her katana, two knives and gum hahahaha))
Francesca smiled, "Then good luck, my dear." she turned to head back behind the doors.((kk, lol, her lucky gum xD and u want G to come in now or later?))
((lol like she's fighting Strigoi, kills it, then another sees G and attacks him, but she's there and it claws her up instead then the Guardians come and help them, that good?))
((yup, so he sees her and follows her to town and when she gets in trouble he tries to help but gets seen and attacked?))
Lythande stumbled to the front gate, sobbing. Her dress was stained with her own blood. She tried to go through the gates, but she was blocked. "Somebody, please help me....."
((made him! :) ))Tanner had been patrolling around the grounds of the Academy when his ears picked up a sharp cry and he swivelled around, eyes searching for the source.
Lythande sobbed just outside the gates. "Wake up.... wake up.... it's just a bad dream, it has to be....."
Tanner saw a lone figure standing outside the gates and he broke into a jog to speed up. "Hey!" he called out as he came closer.
Lythande looked up at him. The wound was still ragged on her neck from where she'd been bitten. "Please.... help me..... I don't know what to do..."
Tanner's eyes widened when he took in the girl's state. "Oh God, what happened?!" he asked hoarsely and was beside her in an instant, supporting her gently.
Lythande collapsed against him, sobbing. "A Strigoi attacked me.... she... she turned me.... I tried to fight her, but I wasn't strong enough.... I don't know what to do......"
Tanner startled, shocked, "You...were bitten?!" his mind raced frantically and the logical part of his brain screamed for him to get as far away from the girl as he could, but something held him there and he couldn't move, rooted to the spot.
Lythande nodded weakly. "It.... it hurt so bad.....I wish she'd just killed me......"
Tanner knew he should be doing the right thing. And that was to stake the girl right there and then. She was a Strigoi now, after all. But something in her voice stopped him and he hesitated. "What do you feel now?" he asked, the question flying out of his mouth before he could think it through.
"I feel like my whole life has been ripped out from under me.... everything I ever cared about, gone....." Lythande whimpered.
"Shh..." he wrapped an arm around her shoulder without thinking, "I know your hurting right now. But I need you to focus. What do you feel? Any hunger? Anger?" Tanner frowned, trying to think up of a way to help the girl.
She bit her lip. "Mostly, just sorrow and confusion.... and... hatred for the one who did this to me....." She looked up at him, her ruby eyes filled with pain. "What did I do to deserve this? Why me? I don't understand...."
Tanner stared into her unusual red eyes and for a moment he was at a loss for words, "What's your name?" he whispered roughly.
Lythande looked into his eyes, unable to look away. "Lythande. Lythande Yggdrassil."
Shit. She was a Moroi. He recognised her family name from a while back. Tanner grimaced, his thoughts still battling before he made a final decision, "Lythande." he tested out her name on his tongue, "You're going to be fine. But I need you to trust me okay?"
Lythande nodded, relieved. "Thank you...."
He let out a breath, "I'm going to be honest with you, Lythande, and I'll let you choose. We can either go to the school and find some help, or I can take you back to...where I stay." he felt vaguely uncomfortable, but continued on, "The thing is, you're a Strigoi now, and I don't know how anyone else would react to seeing you like this...so it can be very good...or very bad. I'll protect you the best I can...but I'm letting you decide on this." he chose his words carefully and watched her.
Lythande bit her lip, thinking. "I want to go back to the school, but I'm afraid to, too. This place has been my home for years, the people here the closest thing I have to family. To have them see me like this..." She shook her head. "I couldn't bear it if they hate me for what I've become." She looked back up at him. "But... I don't want to be a burden for you, either...."
Tanner frowned, thinking, "Alright, you're coming with me." he stood up and held out a hand for her, glancing around to see whether anyone else had caught sight of them. But the grounds were its usual silent self, and they were in a part of the area where few people, let alone Guardians, strayed to.
Lythande took his hand hesitantly and stood, wincing as she put weight on her sprained ankle. "Thank you...."
Tanner frowned as his sharp eyes caught the movement, "What's wrong?" he asked instantly, "Are you hurt?"
Lythande bit her lip. "I tripped and sprained my ankle....." She looked down at the injred ankle, which was swollen and inflamed.
