Have you read any books that are similar to MVS books in subject or writing style?

Graceling (The Seven Kingdoms, #1) by Kristin Cashore The Magicians' Guild (Black Magician Trilogy, #1) by Trudi Canavan The Ambassador's Mission (Traitor Spy Trilogy, #1) by Trudi Canavan Priestess of the White (Age of the Five, #1) by Trudi Canavan

My second favorite writer is Trudi Canavan.

Her writing is kinda like the study and glass trilogy.
- Strong female hero
- Not always the love interests you might expect at first
- Plot twists
- It's high/epic fantasy
- Magic
- Really addictive
- Interaction between magical and non-magical people

The books that I'm talking about:
The Black Magician Trilogy
The Magicians' Guild (Black Magician Trilogy, #1) by Trudi Canavan The Novice (Black Magician Trilogy, #2) by Trudi Canavan The High Lord (Black Magician Trilogy, #3) by Trudi Canavan

It's prequel:
Magician's Apprentice by Trudi Canavan

And the sequel Traitor Spy Trilogy:
The Ambassador's Mission (Traitor Spy Trilogy, #1) by Trudi Canavan The Rogue (Traitor Spy Trilogy, #2) by Trudi Canavan The Traitor Queen (Traitor Spy Trilogy, #3) by Trudi Canavan
(I can't wait for that last one)

And don't forget her separate, but still amazing trilogy, The Age of Five:
Priestess of the White (Age of the Five, #1) by Trudi Canavan Last of the Wilds (Age of the Five, #2) by Trudi Canavan Voice of the Gods (Age of the Five, #3) by Trudi Canavan

And yes Jessica I think Kristin Cashore's Graceling (The Seven Kingdoms Trilogy, #1) by Kristin Cashore and Fire (The Seven Kingdoms Trilogy, #2) by Kristin Cashore do have those points too, but IMHO the writing of MVS and Trudi is way better, capturing and unpredictable then Kristins (Which is still really good writing, I can't wait for Bitterblue, but just not as good as the other two!)
