Given one of the subplots in Major Pettigrew involves real estate development, I thought the following article on a current debate in the UK over changes to the planning laws might be of interest. I stumbled upon the topic by accident a couple of weeks ago, and, frankly, I had no idea the UK differed so dramatically from the US in real estate development. It's given me a better appreciation for Major Pettigrew and his changing world.
