People never consider this, but: if the Russians had won the race, would there be conspiracy theories on it as much as now?

I'm not sure, but I do know that there wouldn't be as much money put towards the space prgram and more towards like schools and stuff, but then they may not spend it on anything useful...it goes both ways.

Then Soviet Union would have invested more into the space race confidently.
NASA would not be where it is now, maybe.
The rumored Star Wars Programme might have been given the green light.
Beginning of the race to Mars.
Due the glory, maybe the soviet states would not have broken apart.
Yuri Gargarin... first man on the moon...??
