Okay then - I guess it's time to start plugging the Zombie story! :)The end has arrived and the dead now walk, hungry for flesh.
Standing on the brink of apocalypse, reluctant leader Daniel Holt finds himself thrust into a situation that is not only not of his choosing but also oddly familiar. Disparate groups of people find themselves having to work together in order to survive – however, they soon realise that their worst enemy may actually lie within rather than in the unyielding hordes of the undead gathering right outside their impromptu sanctuary. Infection chronicles the outbreak of a very British zombie holocaust.

I'm too much of a scaredy cat to read or watch horror films, but I did watch the beginning of a 1960s zombie film (can't remember which one). I have a question that's never been answered. In this film the zombies only managed to stumble along slowly - how do they ever manage to catch fast running people??

See, the point of a zombie story is that it's not really the zombies that are the problem - it's the people themselves. We are, after all, our own worst enemies. However, the "Romero" zombie may not seem like much on their own, but when there's a group of them and they are all riled up and hungry then they are pretty formidable. They could be considered ambush predators, plus they don't stop, you can't reason with them and they don't need to sleep. It's when you let your guard down that they get you!!! Brouhahahahahaha! There's a whole medical thing I could go into about how (potentially) a zombie virus could work...but I'll just come across as far too nerdy if I do that... :)
Good job I'm reading this in the morning and not at night! I'd have nightmares otherwise!!

See, Zombies just don't scare me at all; now, spiders on the other hand completely freak me out! Go figure!
My latest ebook - Blood - is now available from Trestle Press for the Kindle at the inexpensive pricing point of £0.86.A string of bizarre murders of prominent business leaders leaves Detective Ray Grygax faced with a near impossible task with virtually no resources other than his own sharp mind. Faced with the evidence at hand, Ray must admit that he’s dealing with something that simply should not be. Add in a mysterious young woman with an agenda that runs at odds with his investigation and you’re left with Blood; not your average horror story.

Enjoy.
That reminds me that I need to download the samples again! I've had a replacement kindle sent out as a piece of plastic got snapped of of my other one by the official amazon kindle case (owners beware!) Although your books are saved, it doesn't save the samples! Will see to it now!!

Just gone back and downloaded the sample, then thought - it's only 86p just one click! So I did. The review encouraged me to buy it. One point though, the review mentions that this is a short story. Nothing wrong with that but I have noticed from comments on amazon, that people prefer to know in advance whether they are buying a short story or a novel. It would probably be a good idea to put that in the description.

Lies, deception and subterfuge; all of these things are facets of Leah Hargreaves’ life for longer than she can remember. Trained to be a top-notch undercover agent for British Intelligence, she never expected to one day settle down and raise a family. However, a chance meeting in a bar one night turns her life upside down. A tale of action, intrigue, espionage, globe-trotting and nappies!

Just how did Leah and Andrew Hargreaves meet for the first time? How did the unlikely pairing of an operative of British Intelligence and a low-brow horror author occur? And just what does this have to do with a small bar in the remote outskirts of Australia? All of these questions and more will be answered in How I Met Your Mother: First Date!
