Elizabeth (elizabethnovak) If you want a really cool book about swords/fighting/medieval ages you should get all the books by R. Ewart Oakeshott. He is a really good author.

When armor was in everyday use it was never called a "suit of armor" It was simply called "An armor" or more often, just "harness". The expression "suit of armor" was not used until about 1600.

The expression "he died in harness" doesn't mean that a man who dies doing his job in like a horse it goes back to the time of armor.

If any of you really love the medieval ages you should join my group

(hope its okay that I put the link here.)

Thanks, Elizabeth. It's one of our bestsellers, and I'd love to get some reviews on it. Can't wait for the Kindle fire so the color illustrations will be in color, though I love the clarity and detail in the B/W ones.

Kate R (katetheshortone) I got a Nook Color and it's way better than a Kindle Fire. BEcause a Kindle Fire is a replica of the Nook Color only by Amazon so basically it's not any better. I'll have to check your book out it sounds very interesting.

Mary Findley | 42 comments Sadly, our illustrated book can't be uploaded to Nook because Smashwords has a 5 meg limit. I hear Amazon is going to epub, though, so you might be able to get it when that happens. The "plain" version is in the Nook store, though.
