Welcome to the group everyone.

I am known as Mamacita Juanita on SparkPeople. Looking forward to hearing about the book choices of the group!
I am known as Dustyrose1968 on Sparkpeople but I have under my signature Diane also. I have been a member for some time here at goodreads. I was hoping to be able to read a lot more since I retired in December 2007. I was reading every night until I started getting into Sparkpeople. I am not getting anything done because I am online so much. My house is suffering too. LOL Oh well, Nice to meet all you people. Here's to good books and the time to enjoy them. Diane
Hi Joni, Natalie, Mary and Krysta I hope I don't have to start over. I have bene logging in books I have read and gave them a review already.I haven't seen them since I joned this group. I think I will look for them now.
Glad to see everyone here.
Please feel free to add books to the bookshelf. It would be great to see how diverse the group's taste are.

Hi - I'm Renata ... Spark Bookworms team leader ... (well sort of) ... most of my energy on the team is reserved for motivating book discussions.
Hey - this was a cool idea. I've been on here for awhile, I love this site. Anyway, I'm hi_missy on SparkPeople.
I have had a hard week. My husband befriended a friend of a friend and I wound up taking her to ER and then a doctor's appointment about 45 miles from here on Monday. He took her for a CAT scan on Tuesday. Wednesday I picked her up at 6. She had surgery for what we thought was a hernia; but turned out to be a knot of scar tissue. Got home at 4:30 and then went to get the grandkids 45 minutes in another direction. They were cute as could be; but Nonna(that's me)was tired and cranky. Today I will finish Suite Francaise and be a bit selfish. I read quite a bit in the waiting area, etc.; but it's never quite comfortable.I recognize many of you and hope to get to know the rest.
Lucy
Lucy you had quite a couple of days. I hope all went well and at least you got to read. That was really nice of both of you for helping the woman out. Someday you may be in need and someone will help you out. God bless you both.
If you add me to your friends list, you will see all the crazy titles I read. I'm nearing the end of my master's degree. I have a bunch of books sitting around my computer awaiting me to enter them on my bookreads list. My goal would include putting EVERY book I own on there, but that's a lofty goal. :)Glad to see everyone loves this site. I really do enjoy it and comparing what you've all read to my own stash of books.

Hello Everyone,I'm fairly new to goodreads. One of my bookclub friends in Cali told me about it. I'm slowly adding books as time permits.
Seems like we have a mixture of Bookworms here according to the Poll. This will make for interesting discussions.
Welcome
Krysta

Krysta
I agree it is a mixture and it would be interesting discussions. They might even broaden my interests in reading.
Hi everyone --I am still here. Been busy with school, I have 3 weeks left of these 2 classes and then 11 more weeks of the next 2 classes and then I am done with my masters degree in organizational leadership and also a teaching/learning certificate. A lot of my recent books, are used to write some huge papers I have to finish. :)I read a lot of books at once, and stay up late each night to get some work done and read when it's quiet. Also I take a book with me everywhere to read when I sit in waiting rooms. I also always read books with a highlighter so if I find something useful I highlight it.
Well, back to work--I have a bunch of mailings to get out tonight.
-Sandra
PS: If you want to add me as a friend-I'll gladly add you
I would like to add you to my friends list. I'm new to this so I'm not sure how to do it. I'm not really sure what this Sparks Bookworm is either. My friend Mel, told me about it. I would love to join, I just would like to know what it is all about. Thanks Tami
Hey Tami!I just saw your post. I'm glad Krysta responded. I'm having a difficult time keeping up with all your book posts! =)

Do you think we are ready to discuss some books?Maybe we could do mini-reviews of a unexpected find?
Biographies?
Mysteries?
We could do. Question
Has anyone read Sue Grafton's alphabet series?. I've just finished reading the first one and found it interesting but the main character seemed rather annoying to me. Does anyone recommend the rest of the series. Does it get any better.

I love the alphabet series, Christine. I started them years ago. I think you like Kinsey or you don't. I was single lots of years. She makes me remember.I am trying to add short reviews to all my books.
I've made a goal to do ten a day.
I recently listened to "Thanksgiving" by Janet Evanovich. The story begins in autumn and moves through Thanksgiving into winter...easy read...if you are looking for light-hearted fare try this one...
Hope everyone is fine.
Planning on trying book 2 of the alphabet series at some point.
I enjoyed the trivia test also, really need to expand my genres list.
Something light hearted and fun to help you enjoy the day. Don't celebrate in England.
What kind of books does Janet Evanovich write?

Janet Evanovich writes murder mysteries; but they are funny and filled with Characters with a capital "C."I finished short reviews for all my goodreads posts. Whew!
Have some cooking to do tomorrow. Thanksgiving will be at my mom's. Two aunts, one uncle, husband, son, friend, mom and myself will be at her lovely home on the river. Lots of times it is just my husband, mom, and myself.
Can't think why I haven't posted here lately.I was horribly disappointed in Plum Spooky. I will have to think long and hard before I read another Janet Evanovich.
On a more pleasant note:
I highly recommend:
The Friday Night Knitting Club and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.
Hello! I'm DarkFaery on Sparkpeople. I actually found this website while perusing message boards on Spark. I love this site!I've never read any of Janet Evanovich although I have 4 of her books. I need to add them to my "to-read" list.

I have already put The Friday Night Knitting Club on my list of books to read. My list is so big now I don't think I will ever get to the end of it.
Welcome to the group Hilary.
Janet Evanovich has never really caught my attention. I keep looking but then keep putting them back.
Has anyone read Joanne Fluke's Hannah Swensen Mysteries. I'm reading the second one now (Strwberry Cheesecake Murder) and enjoyed the first one (Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder).
Diane my list always seems to get longer not shorter aswell.
Hope everyone is fine.

Krysta I love to read, but I also have so many other things that I love to do as well, like knitting, crocheting, gardening, cooking, sewing, and watching DVDs . Not to mention my obsession with computers, Face Book.com and Sparks people. It seems that there is not that much time in the day to do house cleaning, laundry and normal living. I am a recent retired person gone wild with what I thought would be spare time to do it all. Well I was wrong there is not enough time in a day to do it all. I will try to put more time aside to read, because I would love to read 1 book a week, then I might put a dent in my list of books to read LOL. Here is to good books and the time to read them.
Krysta I actually just finished the second Hannah Swensen mystery. I really liked it and plan to get all of the rest of them. They really are an enjoyable read.
I had read a couple of Hannah Swensen mysteries out of order. Decided I enjoyed them and would go back and read them in order. So I began at the beginning and the next one for me is the Blueberry Muffin Murder.Has anyone made any of the recipes?
Joni
Read 1,2, 8 and 9. Hopefully going to pick up Blueberry Muffin Murder on Thursday. They are great light reading and I love the recipes in them but unfortunately don't have time to bake BOO HOO. Maybe we should all pick one then we can let each other know what they're like.
Hope you all had a great Easter for those who celebrate.

I just bought the new Nora Roberts book, Vision in White. I started it last night and it's really good so far but I don't expect anything less from her. I'm also reading The Expected One by Kathleen McGowan. I'm almost finished with that one. It's fantastic! If you liked the DaVinci Code, I would definitely recommend reading this one. I still need to get more of the Hannah Swensen series. I love those too. Has anyone made any of the recipes yet?
Hi All
Hillary just got books 2 and 3 of the Key Trilogy by Nora Roberts. I tend to like her supernatural trilogies. I loved the Pagan Stone Trilogy. Let us know what Vision in White was like.
Just ordered The Expected One and the next one, I'm really into thrillers at the moment and I loved Da Vinci Code.
Do you know Dan Brown as a new book out in September. It follows on from The Da Vinci Code. It's called The Lost Symbol.

Hey everyone!Krysta, I didn't know he was coming out with a new book! That's great!
I need to get the Book of Love by Kathleen McGowan. I saw it at the store when I picked up Vision in White but decided I needed Nora more.
I haven't finished it yet, but it's really good so far. I should have it down in the next few days!
Have a good day everyone!
Hilary
Finished the Key Trilogy. Although predictable I enjoyed it.
Got the Expected One by Kathleen McGowan and the Book of Love is waiting to be picked up, so should have those read in the next couple of weeks.

Finished both of Kathleen McGowan's books. Not bad will read the third one when its released.
Currently reading the Sharpe books ( tv programme with Sean Bean) by Bernard Cornwell and A naval series by Alexander Kent. Both series are set around the late 18th early 19th centuries.
Hope everyone is fine.

I finally finished Vision in White. It was good but definitely not one of her best. I thoroughly enjoyed it though and if you are a Nora fan, as I am, you'll like it.I can't wait to read the Book of Love. How are the Sharpe books, Krysta? I've seen the series but never read any of the books.
Still reading the first one, take abit to get into it. I keep picturing Sean Bean in uniform as I'm reading them so they can't be that bad. Let you know the outcome on monday.
Book of Love wasn't as good as the first one but not too bad though.

I found the first book not as good as the series but I'm going to carry on with the second book.
