So short and sweet: I have just finished my first YA novel, The Wonderland Effect. It's sort of a "Lewis Carroll meets the X-men" sort of thing. My protagonist, Alice Littleton, is not the Alice of Lewis Carroll's story, she's just a girl who came into her powers at a time in her life when she was fixated on the stories, so they all took on some of the Wonderland flavor in the ways they express themselves. Alice Littleton, gifted with the powers of Wonderland, draws a catastrophe down on herself when she tries to use them in aid of a kidnapped child.
