Tyler Watkins (tilurwatki) | 1 comments Hey guys! If you didn't know, I just released my second novel, "Luptator: Klyborne's Revenge". I've worked pretty hard on this one and have been so eager to release it. I think the story will really get my readers excited for the third book, "Luptator: Ascension".
Hope y'all will check out the Luptator series and let me know what you think! Enjoy.

"Demons live in all of us. There's only one difference between humans and Luptators, it's our ability to control them."

Michael Davies (michael_davies) | 9 comments Thanks for hosting the group, I love the fact you have an author promotion page as part of it. Thank you for that!

So here's a brief look at my novel. - extra information can be found at the website www.theworldofpangea.com It's a YA meets Tolkien as one reviewer put it. Definitely geared more towards older teens than younger ones.

The World Of Pangea: Path Of The Warrior

Set against an extensive mythological backdrop, Path of The Warrior begins as a coming of age story and quickly explodes into an epic conflict between light and darkness. This first novel in the Pangea trilogy promises to take you beyond this earthly realm and into another where mortals and immortals struggle for the fate of their world.

FROM THE BACK COVER:

What Can One Man Do Against The Gods?

"Where the sacred rivers meet, Beneath the shelter of the Keeper of all things. There lies the hall of the beginning, The ruler of the world before the Kings.”

Pangea is shaken. The past has become the present. Ancient myth has awakened, and legends walk amongst the living. Idris has always known the path of the warrior was his to choose. Now, as war strikes at the heart of Pangea, he must wrestle as a mortal thrust into the wars of immortals. It will take more than his training to face the chaos as darkness strikes deep into the life of his people, and Idris’s own inner demons threaten to destroy him before the battle even truly begins.

Robert Arrington | 2 comments First, I would like to echo the previous comment, and say thanks just for having an author promotion page available. I'm looking forward to seeing what else is going on in this group.

So short and sweet: I have just finished my first YA novel, The Wonderland Effect. It's sort of a "Lewis Carroll meets the X-men" sort of thing. My protagonist, Alice Littleton, is not the Alice of Lewis Carroll's story, she's just a girl who came into her powers at a time in her life when she was fixated on the stories, so they all took on some of the Wonderland flavor in the ways they express themselves. Here's the "back cover blurb:

Alice Littleton, gifted with the powers of Wonderland, draws a catastrophe down on herself when she tries to use them in aid of a kidnapped child. Now, she and her father are being pursued by a relentless paranormal intent on recruiting other supers- or eliminating potential competition. She finds her way to Prometheus Academy, a new school with a truly empowered student body. When the school comes under attack, Alice must decide whether to run again, or take a stand against the forces threatening her and her new friends.

The Wonderland Effect will be available in the Amazon Kindle store for pre-order within the next few days. It goes live July 15th, and there will be a paperback edition through CreateSpace as well. Thanks for looking.

Rachel Medhurst (rachelmedhurst) | 1 comments Another thank you for the chance to promo here.

My series is called The Zodiac Twin Flame series. It's YA paranormal romance.

The first book is called Pisces and it's 0.99c. The second is called Aries and was released on Friday!

Here's the blurb for Pisces:

The bracelet around my wrist was a permanent reminder of my mission. The silver charm that was attached to the leather cord was stamped with my birth sign. Mission: Unite with my twin flame soulmate in this lifetime.

My brothers, sisters, and I were each named after the star sign we were born under. We knew that our soul purpose was to fall madly in love and battle through the obstacles that led to that true love.

Antony crept up on me and caught me unaware. He was nothing like I'd imagined my twin flame soulmate to be. When he started to run, I found that I had to give chase. I had to complete my mission.

Pratik Patil (pratikspace) | 1 comments Pregnancy and Men

Hi all,

Thank you for promo page. I am a new indie author Pratik Patil. I recently published my book: Pregnancy and Men on Amazon and Kindle. [http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00W8GZBK8]

some reviews and description of my book:

"A breath of fresh air, a well executed guide for first time fathers with a flair to connect to the readers " ~ Pennie Mae Cartawick. Author of the Sherlock Holmes book series

"There is so much information about the joys (and hazards!) of starting a family that it makes for fun reading for all" ~ Grady Harp HALL OF FAME TOP 100 REVIEWER

This is not a medical guide to Pregnancy. Primarily aimed at first-time fathers, this guidebook not only helps men understand the process they go through when dealing with pregnancy but also shows them how they can participate in positive ways.

Author Pratik Patil offers information and advice that doesn’t appear in other pregnancy guides. The main purpose of this book is to help men help their wives during pregnancy and also to teach them how to take care of their own physical and mental health in their journey into pregnancy.

Expectant fathers will learn how to prepare their bodies to promote a successful pregnancy, how they can support their wives during those nine months, and how to handle a newborn infant, along with other tips on parenting—all of which is the first step toward being a great dad.

But Pregnancy and Men isn’t just for men. It also enlightens women about what their husbands go through during pregnancy. Encouraging empathy, responsibility, and a positive attitude, it’s a must-read for anyone planning to start a family.

See if this interests you or someone you know.

Thank you.

Sincerely,
Pratik Patil

Set in 1976 in North London it tells the story of a group of 16 year olds as they try to start a band.

It is for Young Adult readers now, and for those who were YA back then and want a nostalgia trip!

In the meantime, I have launched an official website where you can find out loads more.

Andrea Churchill Hello! My first novella, titled The Lerewood, is set to publish on June 13th. I'll be hosting a Launch Party on Facebook, where you get information on the novella and where to purchase it, tune in for a reading of Chapter one, and enter contests to win some prizes. Click on the link below to join this free event on June 13th:
https://www.facebook.com/events/83342...

The Lerewood
Synopsis
Legends speak of a place called Lerewood, an isolated little village set in the middle of an immeasurable, ghostly wood. The townspeople suffer from severe poverty and filth, living more like savage animals than a cultured civilization. However, despite the town’s inhuman conditions, the townspeople never seem to die from disease or starvation, and their numbers only seem to grow with each generation. No one knows the truth of how Lerewood came to be, but many secrets seem to revolve around an ancient, legendary creature that lives in the surrounding forest. They say she’ll hunt anyone who dares trespass onto her land;
Those who enter the forest never come back.
One middle aged man, Uallas, depressed and tired of abuse from his monstrous wife, decides to commit suicide by entering the wood. But when he steps foot into the mythical dark forest, Uallas finds that everything he ever knew about the town, and himself, were lies. These new discoveries only lead to more questions, where the truth can only be found in the mysterious, undiscovered world.
The Lerewood introduces the topics of natural evil, identity, and judgment, all while moving the reader with detailed personification. It is a tale of darkness, and will appeal to many readers with its rich, moody descriptions of the eerie, mythological forest.

S. Brandis (selliotbrandis) | 1 comments Hi everyone.

My YA SciFi novel just launched. I'm running a goodreads giveaway for signed copies -- https://www.goodreads.com/giveaway/sh...

The Pearl Diver by S. Elliot Brandis
The Pearl Diver

I’m Elsie, from the planet Caelum.

It’s 96% ocean, but that’s okay. Out of all six planets (or seven, if you believe the myths), we’re the only people with gills. I can breathe underwater for minutes at a time, discovering the secrets of the deep-sea. Diving is my first love.

But not everybody understands.

Each year they run a competition—a single black pearl is dropped into the ocean, and graduating students dive to find it. It sounds easy, but it’s not. The ocean is a dark and dangerous place, with caves, crevices, and flesh-eating creatures. Some years, not everybody survives.

It’s how my brother died.

My parents won’t let me compete. At times it seems like the whole island is against me. I don’t care. I will enrol, win, and gain the ultimate prize—a job diving on the head planet of the entire system. I’ll do whatever it takes. I’ll fight for a better life, out there in the stars.

I will be the Pearl Diver.

Or die trying.

The ebook version is on sale for 99c during launch week - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Y889WW2

I'm Janene Murphy, author of the YA fantasy series, Light vs. Dark. I just published the second book in the series (ENLIGHTENED: LIGHT VS. DARK) and am celebrating with a signed book giveway. It's listed here:

I'm also celebrating by temporarily dropping the e-book price of the first one, EXTRAORDINARY: LIGHT VS. DARK, to 99 cents. Here's its Goodreads link:

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

The series focuses around Alina who thinks she's a regular teen until she's forced back into a world she can't remember. Is she a Light Warrior? Can she help The Light defeat The Dark? No one is sure. If only there was more time. The Dark is on the move and heading straight toward them. Its fiercest soldier, Darryn, has power like no other and he's bent on total destruction.

Hope you check it out and I can't wait to finish I'LL GIVE YOU THE SUN and discuss it with all of you!

Cassandra Webb (cassandra_webb) | 1 comments I love it when it's easy to see where I can share my stuff - well done there guys.

All Kemla dreams of is an adventure.

When she’s kidnapped by slave traders, meets a mage, becomes a bargaining tool and is attacked by bandits, she gets more than she ever wanted.

But will she earn her freedom?

Magic is outlawed, but slave trading is a legitimate profession, which causes some problems for Kemla when she’s captured by slave traders and accused of possessing magic. This series is highly recommended for all the Tamora Pierce fans out there. With a strong female protagonist, who manages to get herself into a lot of trouble, and a cute male slave trader who keeps making sure she can’t escape.

If I've sparked your interest I'd love to send you a free e-copy when the book releases on Amazon (end of July 2015)

Just send me a message (or email at cas [at] cassandrawebb.com)

Cheers

Cora Graham (coragraham) | 1 comments Hello fellow authors!! Thank you for another great place to promote! I look forward to discovering new books within the group!

To readers! My YA Romance, Pretty Dancer, is available on Amazon for .99 cents! I hope you take a chance on it and even more, I hope you enjoy it! A little peek...
Pretty Dancer by Cora Graham

Meet Lilly - talented dancer, quick mouthed, take no shit tough girl who's also good at hiding the fact that she's scared. She doesn't believe in true love or happily ever afters. Unless you count the unbreakable love she has for her over protective, bullheaded twin brother, who also happens to be her knight in shining armor - which she doesn't.

Kind of hard to love when you can't trust, and trust was something that got shattered along with the rest of her years ago. A lot was taken from her at a young age. She's never gotten over it as much as she's just refused to deal with it.

The only thing in her entire world that still brings her peace is dancing. Her one and only dream is to dance her way to freedom. That freedom just so happens to be at The Elite Academy of Dance. She's more than willing to tuck all those dark and nasty things she doesn't want to think about away, like the darkness that haunts her dreams, and go on pretending, never hoping for anything more - until him.

A story about a girl who pours everything she has into her dancing. Her dream? To get accepted into The Elite Academy of Dance, and spend the rest of her life dancing on stage. To her, that's easier than dealing with the demons from her past and the scars they left on the person she has become today. A smart mouthed, take no shit, tough girl who's also scared, lonely, and closed off to accepting anyone new into her heart.

But in the process of wearing a hole in her ballet slippers, and the help of an ever faithful best friend, her bull headed and over protective twin brother, and a certain boy who knows how to push her buttons, leaves her wanting for things she never thought she'd want, and just does it for her, she starts to think that maybe, just maybe, there is something more worth fighting her demons for.

This is a story of a girl who fights to make her dream come true. And maybe, just maybe, along the way finds a way to trust again, to love again.

Love, Humor, Passion, Artistry, a story of acceptance.

Iain Martin | 1 comments Gettysburg: The True Account of Two Young Heroes in the Greatest Battle of the Civil War

My 2013 non fiction YA title about Gettysburg is now available in paperback. I also just added a book trailer. The anniversary of the battle is coming up soon on July 1-3.

About the book:

In the summer of 1863, General Robert E. Lee and the Army of Northern Virginia advanced into Pennsylvania in a daring offensive to win the Civil War in a single campaign. They met the Union Army at a quiet crossroads town called Gettysburg and engaged in the greatest battle ever fought on American soil. Three days of combat ended on July 3 with Pickett’s Charge, a heroic assault by nine of Lee’s brigades against the Union defenses on Cemetery Ridge. Their repulse at the stone wall became known as the “high-water mark” of the Confederacy. At the dedication of the Soldiers’ National Cemetery that November, Lincoln used the occasion to deliver his Gettysburg Address, a short, two-minute speech that became the most famous in American history.

In this original retelling of the Gettysburg story, Iain Martin draws upon firsthand accounts—from the generals to the lowly privates and civilians caught in the epic struggle. Readers will discover history through the experiences of two Gettysburg teenagers—Matilda “Tillie” Pierce and Daniel Skelly. Featuring the artwork of Don Troiani, photos, full-color maps, interesting tales, and trivia, Gettysburg: The True Account of Two Young Heroes in the Greatest Battle of the Civil War gives young readers a fascinating look into this great turning point of American history.

"Martin writes in a straight-forward style that should be easily understood by young readers and novice history students. Of the many young adult books I have read, this is one of the best. It is well presented, informative history and offers much incentive for further study . . . It is the perfect volume to start your favorite young history buff on the road to discovering Civil War history." —Civil War News

Thanks,

Iain Martin

To top things off, Tanner’s life is further complicated when Tanner finds her mom’s broken, disconnected cell phone and it begins receiving strange text messages. Are the messages possibly from her mom or from the angry young woman who also died in the accident?
With the help of her new friend Sara and a cute boy at school she never would have paid attention to before as a popular girl, Tanner attempts to navigate the unpredictable world of the paranormal and at the same time learns that the love of family is all powerful, even in death.

Laura Baxter | 1 comments Hi,

I have just published my first book and would love to hear your thoughts. Here is the description on the back cover:

This inspirational fable unfolds after an innocent question is asked. Jura, a wise inquisitive fish, who lives under the rule of the tyrannical King and Queen, knows instinctively that things are not right. Her observations, however, result in some unexpected consequences. There is always a price to pay for questioning authority but the price is undoubtedly higher for remaining silent. Oceans Apart is a story of transformation from oppression to freedom. It is a tale about courage, standing up for what is right and the effect our choices have on our destiny.

It is available on Amazon:

I am currently offering free e-Copies of my YA Fantasy novel School of Deaths by Christopher Mannino in exchange for honest reviews on Goodreads and Amazon.

Please email me at ctmannino at gmail dot com for a free copy, in exchange for an honest review.

Thrust into a world of men, can a timid girl find bravery as the first female Death?

Thirteen-year-old Suzie Sarnio always believed the Grim Reaper was a fairy tale image of a skeleton with a scythe. Now, forced to enter the College of Deaths, she finds herself training to bring souls from the Living World to the Hereafter. The task is demanding enough, but as the only female in the all-male College, she quickly becomes a target. Attacked by both classmates and strangers, Suzie is alone in a world where even her teachers want her to fail.

Scythes hungry for souls, Deaths who subjugate a race of mysterious magicians, and echoes of an ancient war with Dragons.

As her year progresses, Suzie suspects her presence isn't an accident. She uncovers a plot to overthrow the World of Deaths. Now she must also discover the reason she's been brought there: the first female Death in a million years.

J.K. Ullrich (jkullrich) | 1 comments Hello, all!

I recently released my debut book Blue Karma , a YA novel in the trending climate fiction genre. The story follows three teenagers in a drought-stricken near future where some have to steal water just to survive. As the characters' lives collide, they must overcome both the forces of nature and their own traumatic pasts. There's a touch of dystopia, a touch of romance, and lots of action to keep you turning pages.

I'm happy to offer promotional copies in exchange for honest reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. If Blue Karma piques your interest, read more about it--and what other readers are saying--here on Goodreads or at my website, jkullrich.com. Thanks!

cheers,
J.K.

Please check out my new boon : The introduction of the book ; I paid no attention to the puzzled look on his face as he took my bag. I couldn’t help but think, “Now, this is the life.” I kept imagining myself as Carrie on Sex and the City. When we arrived at our destination, I was shocked. “Where are the skyscrapers, the subway, the major roads?” With a huge grin on his face he said, “Welcome to Warrensburg, Missouri.” The book is available on Amazon .
