Darien sat under a large tree overlooking the school, deep in thought. "Times are changing." he sensed. "All these new faces transferring here. I can almost taste the drama." He looked up at the trees that gave him shade and drew a large breath. He closed his eyes and let the time pass him by.

Tilly walked into the forest and sensed that there was someone or something up in the tree in front of her she looked up and saw Darien sitting on one of the tallest branches "Hey"

Darien opened one eye then the other and without moving he looked down to see a girl grinning up at him. He closed his eyes again thinking she would leave. He had alot on his mind from his talk with that new girl, Ari. But minutes passed and the girl who called him still stood there. He turned to look at her from his perch in the tree. Laying down with his hand supporting his head, he called to the girl. "Why hello there. What brings you to this ..." he searched his head for the right adjectives, "'cheerful' area of this 'extraordinary' school?" he said sarcastically.

"I came here because my whole family are in the cemetery over there" she pointed in the general direction of the cemetery "What about you?"

He wasn't expecting that. "Oh...i'm sorry." He looked at her with sad eyes. "What's your name?" he asked a little rudely. But at that point he didn't really care about he seemed to other people.

"Thats fine most of them were on the....... other side, im Tilly, and you are Darien"

"Hahaha" he chuckled a carefree laugh at her nonchalance. "Yeah, yes i am. Sorry for storming off like that before. I had... er, 'stuff' I needed to do."

"Thats ok we all do sometimes"

Darien shifted on his feet. "So you're Tilly... then there's Ari and that other asian girl. I believe? I think that is her name. I missed it when I was talking to her. And I didn't want to be rude and ask her to repeat." He wasn't sure if that was her name for she had never responded to him. But maybe this girl knew her. He was fishing, fishing for answers, something he did frequently.

"You don't have to pretend i can read your mind after all, but yes that is her name"

His face shot cold. It WAS her. He swallowed to regain himself. "Wait, what?" He laughed.

"i can read minds, its one of my many unwanted talents"

Darien didn't know what to say. Interesting he thought to himself. Testing her claim.

Tilly laughed

"Hmm, what else can you do?" He asked carefully.

"Flying ((she has wings duh)) Night vision, Emotion reading and mind reading. Thats pretty much it. What about you?"

"Oh... nothing special." He said and smiled.

"Yes there is, You can fly, you can compel people and you have intensified senses and skills. Is that right?"

"well i better get going i'll see you in class will i?, wate..... yes i will"

"Very good." Darien said and smiled. "Well... it's been nice talking to you, 'Tilly'" he bowed "but I must leave you" he laughed and walked away.

Once they arrived at the forest Ari couldnt hold it in anymore she blured it out. "So what do you think of Darien??? Is it weird that I feel like I know him?" Ari waited for Angel to responed.

Angel walked along the trees with Ari.

"Angel answer the question." said Ari worried with what Angel might say.

Tilly saw the 2 girls walking together sneer called out "Hey guys"

Angel shrugged. She flicked her finger and a fire played on her finger. She closed it and looked at Ari. "I think that Darien is really rude." she grinned. "Don't tell me you like him?"

She saw Tilly walking toward them. "Hi Tills," she chuckled. "Can I call you that?"

"WEll im not saying that just-" Ari didnt finish instead she waved at Tilly to come over.

Tilly walked up t the 2 girls and said "what we talking about?"

Angel grinned and motioned at Ari.

Ari looked at Angle with the coner of her eye. She didnt want to say, but she didnt want Angel to say. WOnt she? Then again Ari didnt want to think it cuz Tilly can read her mind. "Nothing." Ari said finally. Then came a small laugh then a cough from Angel. Like she really wanted to tell Tilly

"YEsss" ARi said trying to at cool, like nothing was going on.

Angel raised her hands. "I'm not saying anything 'cause it's an Ari thing and I'm certainly not thinking about it so Tilly can't read my mind." she grinned. "It's up to Ari."

"Well i think he's nice when he wants to be"

"Um... well..soo whsts new Til?" Ari said smiling.

((can i call you Til for short?))

Angel looked at Tilly. "Who are we talking about, Tilly?"

((Yea 'corse)) "Nothing much how are you doing?"

"Tilly? Are you reading our minds!!!!!" Ari stood their gazing at Tilly. She crossed her arms over her chest and leaded to one side. Ari narrowed her eyes at Tilly. She hated it when Tilly read her mind to find out news or gossip.

Angel pouted her lips. "Ari, you can't blame Tilly. She's a mind reader, she can't control it."

ARi couldnt believe Tilly. She turned and headed to her dorm. "Bye Angel, and....Ari pused....Tilly.

"I'm sorry but i can't help it it's not like i can turn it off or any thing" Tilly felt quite affended

Angel scratched her head. "Hey, Ari!" she watched her walk off. "Well, she's gone! Sorry about that. She's usually like that. Anyway, I don't mind you reading my mind 'cause there's rarely a thing on it." she grinned.

"ha well i better go now so ill so you soon"

She waved. "Bye,"
