Oh! *lightbulb* How about something about a conflict between people concerning clones? Or maybe the gov. allows clones and there is a resistance group?
He was hiding in that strange section of forest in the middle of the city. Rain drizzled lightly from above and made his hair stick to his forehead. He shook his head, making water droplets fling around.((I gtg, bye!))
He stood up slowly, his whole body tensed. Slowly, Caelan scanned the trees around him. Nothing. He let out his breath and straightened. He started to walk down a path.((Just to let you know, I'm going to get off soon.))
His guard was down and as Caelan headed towards the trail to leave the forest, he stepped into her path unawares.
Caelan whirled and immediately his hand flew to his waist. He stared at the person in front of him, wary of her knives. "Evening," he said in a neutral voice.
"Oh, just-" Caelan cut himself off when their was a faint rustle behind him. He glanced at the young woman, then flicked his gaze behind him.
((Bye!))He turned and for a moment, froze. A line of black clad figures slowly approached them. Then his mind clicked, Caelan turned and darted forward towards the street.
Caelan jumped to the side to avoid a person, then twisted to avoid running into a lamppost. He didn't stop until he reached a corner of an intersection and he stood to catch his breath.
He gave a small nod and glanced back the way they had come. He didn't see those men, but that didn't mean they weren't following. He glanced over to Thera. "I'm sorry I got you into this. Anyways, I've got to get going."
He blinked in surprise. "Oh, I just thought with the-" He cut himself off and shook his head. "All right, I'll take you to the elf colony."
"You're welcome," Caelan said with a smile. He started going forward again, walking this time.((So, um, how should he lead her to the elf colony?))
((Okay, how about he leads her to a building that has a secret entrance to the colony that is hiding below the city?))He stepped more cautiously around corners and kept his head ducked so the people passing him wouldn't see his face.
((Sure. Can you describe that? I don't know much about that.))Caelan kept on walking, going a couple blocks, then taking a left or a right until he led her to a service entrance to the storm drains.
((Oh, okay. Thanks! ^_^))Caelan gave a small smile. "The elves are quite smart. They chose a good spot where people wouldn't find them. But then again, they do have to deal with the rats and such," he said as he bent down and lifted the manhole cover in front of them. It was hard to see the bottom of the dark hole in the road, so Caelan pulled out a flashlight from a pocket in his jacket. He started to step down the ladder, then glanced up to Thera. "You coming?"
Caelan rolled his eyes, but couldn't help but smile. "Show off," he muttered as he hooked his feet on the rails off the ladder and slid down after her.
He leaped off the ladder when he saw the ground below and landed solidly. Then he flicked on his flashlight, shining its beam up and down the tunnel. He glanced back to Thera. "This way," he said and started to walk towards the left tunnel.
His footsteps echoed off the concrete walls as he led her deeper into the sewers. There were some twists and turns, occasionally coming to a fork, where Caelan barely paused to think and took the right tunnel.
On the other side was an impossibly large cavern. Houses and buildings were laid out neatly with trees growing around them. Caelan didn't bother to stop to admire the beauty that always surrounded the elf colony, though he was tempted. Instead, he went over to the stairs that led down towards the city.
Caelan glanced back at her. "Oh, really? I have been here before, you know. They are quite friendly to me."
((That's what I was thinking. Now what? Why did Thera want to find the elf colony? Should I have Caelan lead her to the main head honchos of elves?))
((Soldiers should do it? Okay, then.))"Let's take you over to those soldiers over there. I'm sure you'll be able to find what you want with their help. I guess my job is done and I'll go back up," Caelan said and turned to leave.
