haha! a start! i just realized that i will probably read Oil on Water soon, rather than in 2012. but i will leave it and put a strike through it when/if i do, then add a new book for Nigeria. that way it can remain a resource for others.okay, i'm about to add another book! watch out!

i think i'm going to be very slow making this list!
Well, "Agaat" will be my first one, because I'll be reading that with a group of people in my Africa group. ;)
I hate it!!! When you guys are having fun blabbing I am exhausted and have to go to bed.......zzzzzz. My eyes are shuting.
Chrissie wrote: "I hate it!!! When you guys are having fun blabbing I am exhausted and have to go to bed.......zzzzzz. My eyes are shuting."Oh, good night, Chrissie! I know, it's like 10:30 where you are but I just made a cappuccino and will go sit on the couch with a dog and a book. :)
Judy wrote: "Wow! Marieke I went away for about an hour and your list has doubled! :-)Good night, Chrissie."
HA! I honestly just giggled out loud.
I need to browse other people's lists because I think I'll be stealing.
Judy wrote: "Is it on everyone's? I think it is an unwritten rule...haha"then you all have to come talk about it at Great African Reads! i didn't link to the group because i'm not sure if it's okay to promote other groups...(Muphyn and I moderate GAR together).
I'll be reading Agaat, too, in January 2012 at GAR. BTW, hello, to Muphyn, Marieke, and someone I might have missed greeting.
This is bad news..... Now I am up and you are all sleeping! Or about too?Everyone is readingAgaat, I would too it if was available on Kindle in Europe, but it isn't.
Marieke, if we "steal" from each other's lists we can share our opinions on them. Isn't that what we all want to do most? Please "steal" away!
Allison wrote: "Yay for stealing!"indeed!
i'm very happy to have found myself among folk who are pro-thievery. 8)
Chrissie, i already know i'll be stealing from you...
Asmah wrote: "I'll be reading Agaat, too, in January 2012 at GAR. BTW, hello, to Muphyn, Marieke, and someone I might have missed greeting."
Hello back, Asmah!! Good to hear you'll be joining us in reading Agaat! (I'm starting to think I should get into sooner rather than later (= January) otherwise I'll never finish it. You could kill someone with this tome!)
Marieke, steal my Polish bookMosaic: A Chronicle of Five Generations. It looks so good. This word stealing is all wrong.... the minute you grab them they self-replicate and more copies exist. Nobody goes without.
Ok, upcoming countries for the Tour d'Afrique in 2012 are:Jan/Feb - Guinea-Bissau
Mar/Apr - Ivory Coast
May/June - Kenya
July/Aug - Lesotho
Sept/Oct - Liberia
Nov/Dec - Libya
Happy planning! ;)

I left South Africa off of my list since I'd read so heavily from that country already.
Nile daughter wrote: "Hello Marieke :)I must check "Professor Hanaa" ! :p"

She teaches in the Arabic PhD program at Georgetown University.
Allison wrote: "Yay for stealing!"I agree and am not embarrased to say that I'm swiping [Book: The Mangan Inheritance] off of Marieke's shelf.
Judy wrote: "Last I knew I didn't have an "Inheritance" to steal. Glad you are having so much fun..."HA! I'm sure you have something of value over there!
