Around the World in 80 Books discussion

It seems like we're from all over the world. I was just wondering where you live now and what places you have lived in your life.

I have lived in the U.S. all my life. I currently live in the state of Georgia. I am originally from Maine, but I have lived in New Hampshire, Virginia, Hawaii, Florida, Texas, Washington, Utah, Arizona, and South Carolina (yes, I moved around a lot). Although I have never lived in any other countries, I have lived on border towns to both Canada and Mexico.

My ex and his sister both went to school there. I went to Old Dominion University in Norfolk.

I'm from the Netherlands and have been living here all my life (apart from the fact that I just spend 4 months in Indonesia ;) ). I moved to Amsterdam 7 years ago and don't plan to leave here, at least for a while!

I lived in Norfolk for 4 years - i'm well familiar with ODU. One of my friends is doing her grad school there right now

I feel very settled down since I've lived in various towns all over Connecticut except for one year in eastern New York. I even went to college in Connecticut at UConn. It's a pretty state for anyone that enjoys the four seasons, although winter is a bit too long for my taste.

I live in Kansas City - it's where I grew up. Then I married a military man and we moved all over the US - San Francisco, St. Louis, Honolulu and Fredericksburg, VA. Then he retired and we moved back home.

I was born in northern Germany and now live in Germany's capital Berlin. Stops inbetween were Switzerland and England.

I was born and raised in Illinois, in the suburbs of Chicago. About 10 years ago I moved to Scottsdale, Arizona.

I grew up in Lyons, then lived in Westchester for a few years. And then there was that January day when I was leaving my parents house and I slipped on a patch of black ice and slid under my car. A year later I was enjoying the nice AZ heat.

I was born in the UK where I lived for 21 years. I then lived and worked in Malaysia for 7 years and have been living and working in France for the last 14 years.

Currently living in my home town of Winnipeg, Manitoba. I've also lived in New Bothwell, Otterburne, Flin Flon and The Pas, Manitoba... Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta... McAllen, Texas and Acapulco, Mexico. My husband and I are considering moving to Davao, Philippines in the next year or so...

I live in Madison, WI ^^

Born in Cleveland, Ohio. I have lived there or in one of its suburbs my whole life.

My Grandparents live in Shaker Heights, near Cleveland

First 18 years in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey. Next, Washington, D.C. Studied in Paris, France. Now in Bethesda, Maryland.

I live in Nebraska (smack dab in the middle of the continental United States). Went to college in Iowa. Joined the Air Force and had training in both Texas and Mississippi. From there I was stationed in West Germany for two years before being transferred to Indiana for several years, then Kansas before getting out of the service and moving home to Nebraska.

I live in Bosnia and Herzegovina whole my life only in a different cities. Now I am in small city near Mostar.

I live in Portland, OR. Past residences: Cherry Hill NY, Yardley PA, Mikkeli Finland (3 months), State College PA, Semester at Sea (around the world in 100 days while taking classes aboard ship and seeing the world), and Phoenix AZ.

Hyvaa Paivaa Annina - ever been to Mikkeli? I spent 3 months there as a teenager and loved it! Would love to go back some day with my son.

I currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I was born and raised in Brussels, Belgium, studied in Paris, France and spent several months in Jerusalem, Israel. I would really love to live in Spain if the opportunity presents itself!!

I was born and bred in Victoria, Australia and during my early married years followed my naval husband up and down the east coast so spent a couple of years in Sydney, New South Wales and a year in Cairns in far north Queensland, and 6 months in UK when he was there for training. When he left the Navy we returned to Victoria where we settled to raise our family.

I haven't never been in Mikkeli. My cousin lived there about 2 years but never visited her at that time.

I'm originally from Montana until I moved to Washington DC for college (Go Hoyas!). I lived in DC/Baltimore suburbs from 2000-2009 until my husband got orders to Tampa, FL. I'll be moving back to the outskirts of Baltimore, MD, this summer.

I live in Vaasa, Western Finland. I was born in Kirkkonummi, Southern Finland, and lived there all my childhood and teenage years. In 2007 I moved to Vaasa to study in a university.

I live in Tanzania. I'm not terribly well traveled, but I've lived in the US, UK, and Kenya.

I live in Dublin, Ireland.

New Zealand is one of those place I always hope I might visit sometime - but to make do at the moment I am currently reading a great book by Rose Tremain - "The Colour"...

I'm originally from Scotland. I moved to Japan when I was 20 for a year. Since then I've lived in Spain, Morocco, Thailand and I can currently be found in Jeddah, Saudia Arabia.

I got married in Morocco to a Moroccan and that country struck a particular chord with me. I now consider Morocco to be my 'home'.

Born, bred and currently living in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I've lived in Florida for a couple of months, hope to move to the UK soon :)

Hi, Belen! Welcome to the group! I want to visit Buenos Aires so bad! I have wanted to for years. I had a boyfriend in 9th grade that moved there and he would tell me all about how wonderful and beautiful it is. My neighbors are from there as well.

Born in Austin, Texas, lived in Boston, Los Angeles, now in sunny San Diego, California. Frequent travel to San Francisco, Paris, New York. Life long traveller!

Lived the last 19 years in Damascus, Syria but recently moved to st. Cloud Minnesota.

We split our time between the UK (Staffordshire) and SW France.

I am from India. Currently I am in the city of Bangalore where my job is but my hometown in a small hill town called Shillong which is a part of the eastern Himalayan range of mountains.
