This book is still pretty boring. I wouldn't normally read this type of book, but a friend recommended it. I guess I just don't really like that style. It's pretty weird because the main character gets shot in the chest and dies. And then he comes right back to life. It's like, what? He just died, he can't come back to life! That's like cheating! The ending is really predictable. The character who is dying gets saved at the last minute, and the good guys beat the bad guys. I saw it coming from a mile away. Not very creative writing.

Loved the book, another win for Cornelia Funke in my book, and I can't wait for book 2! Cornelia Funke is a shining star in fantasy young adult literature!
Yeah, that's my opinion too !! This book was really cool and it described the feelings very good! =D When does the second book comes out?? Does somebody know ???
I really enjoyed this book but I can see why some people might not. Still, I love her writing style especially her descriptions and I loved the world building in the story and loved the way this story ended on a not completely happily ever after note because throughout the book you can see that basically no story ends happily at least not completely.I hope there is a second book but I haven't heard any news on it so this might be a standalone.
Well, I've searched for a second book, but there's no word out on the web yet about it. All I'm going be is that the story didn't seem to end and also it does say Reckless (Reckless #1) number one. So don't know when it's coming out or anything, but still fingers crossed for it to come out soon.
i like fox. she is different to the others somehow, like she has been through a lot. like why does she feel the need to wear her fox fur.
yeh. i forgot how Jacob found her crying. she probably did have a bad start to her life. i wonder what happened to her.

They just fights for themselves and gives a shit about everybody else. Realistic right?:)

and it so doesnt suck not even close. I loved it and i love how it isnt you're typical fairy tale. its creepy at times. Like seriously.

Really enjoying Reckless! ^.^ I have yet to read Cornelia's InkDeath, Fearless, and The Thief Lord :D I Think Reckless is by far better than Inkheart :D
Not sure about that.. they are different books set in different worlds, i wouldn't know how to compare, i guess ill know better when i finish the whole reckless series.
Just yesterday bought Fearless Mirrorworld 2 as I happened to be in a bookshop (though I gather it's already been out in countries other than the UK). Looks good: it's longer and has got a map and everything! I see that it doesn't come out in hardback till 2nd April in the UK, so you'll have to wait if you prefer a classy edition.
I loved this book, it's my favorite now :) but who do you think is on the cover in this edition? https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... When I bought this I was pretty sure it was Jacob but while reading it, I realized that it could be Will coz of being the Jade Goyl and all.
I liked my cover best which was the one with the red butterfly on it, to be honest. I think that the one goodreads shows isn't very nice. Anyway. I loved Reckless, it didn't weigh down the story line with sob stories and didn't make Jacob's maybe-feelings for Clara the main point of the story. Full of original details and it made you sympathise with those who were supposedly villains.
I thought that it was very creative and i actually enjoyed it. i just saw it in the library, and picked up and was like okay, have to read this book, because ive read thief lord and the inheart, inkspell, inkdeath books
The second book is in fact out, I've seen it in bookstores (and if I can find it here, you should be able to find it wherever you are). It's called Fearless.
