It's great to have it back on. I love a good period drama and after reading about all the meticulous detail I'm saying even closer attention.
I was grinning like the Cheshire cat for Anna last week - short lived :,(
I still feel so bad about the miscarriage of their little boy. I was either pregnant at the time or had just had my wee man and it seemed so cruel.

Is it turning into a regular series instead of just the four-part mini series? My husband and I caught the first two parts and loved it; we have the other ones in our Netflix queue.

The first series was 7 episodes and I think this one is 8 plus a Christmas special.
Did you watch the first series then?

I forgot that they always end the series with cliffhangers - pain in the wotsit!

Christmas special better tie up some ends - will have to record it on Vbox and watch before Tivo arrives

I didn't watch the second series but saw the Christmas special, I'm assuming Bates didn't actually kill his wife or was that not shown?

I lost interest when I missed the first few episodes of the new series then tuned in to find out that one of my favourite characters had died. I hate it when they withdraw characters and then kill them off.

I got my parents a lovefilm subscription and my Mum watched every single episode (think she watched them all on her kindle fire) and loved it. I love reading about all the detail and research that goes in to it whenever I spot an article on it so I might buy the companion books.

I watched Dowtown from the first episode and today I decided to start watching the 4th season (the 3rd Isn't available on demand here). I really found the repercussions of Matthew's death heart wrenching. Are there any Downtown watchers in the group?
