"genuinely disturbing" (Scott Pack)
This is a collection of all my performance pieces, as seen at events like Brighton's Grit Lit, Stoke Newington Literary Festival, Pow-Wow Lit Fest and includes my winning piece from Literary Death Match
(Life:) Razorblades Included is a book that celebrates life, and examines what it means, in today’s world, to make the choice to live, in all its messy, exhilarating, terrifying, immoral, impossible, spectacular reality. For all its material deals with suicide, addiction, the hidden side of the porn industry, this book is a celebration of life, of those who, whether they succeed or fail, embrace life in all its complexity.

5 out of 5 stars "Expertly Wrought and a Joy To Read!" 22 Dec 2011 By W. Jo VonBargen
"...forged from the authentic iron of experience, the author's tight, terse lines are rife with vivid imagery that appear culled from his daily life, yet are transformed into something mysterious, surprising, and utterly profound."

Hi everyone, great group :) I had my first collection of poetry published this year in Kindle form. Paperback due out in August. I hope you check it out. You can read more of my poetry on my blog also at www.jadekennedypoet.blogspot.co.uk Enjoy http://www.amazon.co.uk/Silver-Thread...
Product Description
'Silver Threads' is the first collection of poetry by Jade Kennedy, one of the most recent literary talents to emerge from the city of Hull. Like the 'white wild flower sprung up between the cracks' of her opening poem, Jade's poetic voice has its roots in urban reality, its attention fixed at the sky, and a considerable elegance of its own.
The poems are filled to the brim with rich, descriptive images to savour, illuminated by moonlight and a scattering of stars - and a sincere respect for our literary heritage, with subtle nods to Robert Frost and Virginia Woolf along the way. Put simply, this is a collection that deserves a place in your life and on your Kindle; download it now to see why.

"Heavy Metal: Rock 'n' Roll Poetry"Over 10,000 words of poetry inspired by heavy metal and rock 'n' roll music and presented as lyrics. This collection of rock 'n' roll themed poetry touches on subject matter that has fueled many a classic rock or metal song. Topics such as politics, the drinking and drugging lifestyle, suicide, the apocalypse, lost love, anger and many more themes and narratives fill this book of poetry.
We all have music inside our heads and we are all capable of being poets. This book is many years in the making and captures everything that is best about the scene that I grew up in - the late 80's and early 90's metal scene.

https://www.amazon.com/Descent-Ascent...This collection of poems is a series categorized within each word of the title: Descent, Ascent, Transfiguration. The collection illuminates a disordered, darkened mind—akin to Hell—suffering leading toward joy, and finally breaking through to a transfiguring perspective of the world. The poems’ intent is Dantean, touching on the tensions of life, death, suffering and pain, despair, hope, sin, redemption, and grace. In some ways it is a Baroque work: fragmentary, beautiful, painful, yet hope shining through.
There are poems dedicated to literary giants, such as Flannery O’Connor, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, and Tolkien, some Norse mythology, and beautiful natural imagery. It is a very personal collection, but speaks to many who have walked the rough trodden road lined with dragons and even a few pleasant inns along the way—a journey taken alone, but also with important edifying friendship that buoys the soul.
"Glimpses of Light" is a collection of poems/ lyrics that were written over a series of twenty years. Themes of finding oneself, family and love are woven into the poems.
