Your classic horror favorites that don't fall into any of the typical categories. For example: cosmic horror ala Lovecraft, or ancient arcane gods such as Machen or Blackwood.

In addition to the obvious choices ("The Colour Out Of Space" by H. P. Lovecraft, "The Willows" by Algernon Blackwood and "The White People" by Arthur Machen) I would have to list:
"Paranoia" by Shirley Jackson
"Celui-La" by Eleanor Scott
"Bind Your Hair" by Robert Aickman
"The Garside Fell Disaster" by L. T. C. Rolt (sometimes classed as a ghost story but I thought it had more in common with Lovecraft or Machen)
"The Night Wire" by H. F. Arnold
