I don't know anything either :D Politics really aren't my thing... but, from what I've heard, I like her.
Ugh. She's a pathetic idiot. Bleh. And I can't stand listening to her voice. Whenever she talks, she always talks with empty words, sentences that mean nothing and are only there to beat around the bush, and to cause dramatization. She's a total fake.
I already explained that! "Fake" as in she can't state something directly! She always beats around the bush and talks meaningless words. Sorry, I can't explain myself very well...
Seth you are not a retard!! And Rosie, what are you talking about? If you meant that comment about me than I consider that very rude. And if you aren't joking than I want an apology.
*hugs* Aww...it's alright :) Anyway, politics hurts my head. I can't think about it straight, so I guess I'm fake, 'cause I always avoid questions! ;D
Yeah I know, I was just overreacting because right now I'm tired and hungry. Lol. And stop insulting yourself, Seth. XD
Exactly, Grace. Thank you! That's what I'm trying to say. XD She's a lot like Clinton in that matter.
Yeah! Every time someone asks Palin a questions she's just like, "Uh. Well. I'm from ALASKA! And I'm a HOCKEY MOM!" And it's like, "Okaaaiiii what does that have to do w/ANYTHING?!"
Yes, but have you heard the unfair questions they're asking her?! See, they're are all for Obama, so he and Joesph get a heads up on questions so they know how to answer them. They pop them out at Sarah like crazy. They don't want her because she's good. I don't mean to insult anyone if they have different view, thats jsut how i feel about the matter.
Unfair questions? Like "What newspapers do you read?"She can't even answer THAT! She's like, "Um. I have a ... vast ... variety ... of sources. By the way, I'M FROM ALASKA! And people think it's isolated from the country but it's NOT!" ... which is always what she ends up saying. Everything she says either leads to Alaska or to hockey or something stupid like that. It's ridiculous.
And guess what Palin supporters! She thinks dinosaurs lived 4000 years ago! For some reason that reminds me of George W. Bush saying that America had been founded 2000 years ago. But does that make you feel safe? That if McCain is elected, that the second most powerful person there thinks dinosaurs lived 4000 years ago?
The fact that Sarah Palin either didn't pay attention in biology or isn't smart. And that if McCain was elected we'd have someone stupid in office.
In biology . Who cares if she sucks at biology. It's not like she's going to use it every single day in office, dear.
I can see your point. But Sarah Palin, there's just something about her that doesn't seem safe to me.
An "average, everyday person" is not fit to be vice president. Because the average, everyday person doesn't know enough about politics to be running a country. Therefore, my point is only proven further. And besides ... uh. I wouldn't say she comes from an "average american" family. Her teenage daughter is freaking PREGNANT. If she can't be a responsible mother, how can we expect her to be a responsible vice president?!
You can't blame her for her daughter's life. That's like saying 'Her great-great-great grandmother didn't raise her great-great grandmother well, so her great-great grandmother (who's been dead for fifty years) is to blame for her pregancy.'
Yes, I agree, but it's the fact that she decided to become VP when her daughter was pregnant. I like the way she handled it, but I don't think she's being a very good mother by running as VP.
All right, all right. She's not TOTALLY responsible for her daughter's pregnancy. But, still. Not the best parenting. But taking her family life out of the picture, I still hate her. I disagree with her values. I've watched interviews with her, and just couldn't believe the way she talks; she doesn't know how to prove her point. Whenever she's asked a question, she goes off on some random train of thought. It's stupid.
those aren't values, buddy. i don't agree with her on iraqu either. and i am pro choice and i don't think the goverment has rights to mess with marrige.
But unlike you, I don't hate her. I think that she is good. I just don't agree with her completely. See where I am going with this?
Um. No. You disagree w/her on just about everything ... Yet you say that you support her? That makes absolutely no sense.
In reply to message 21, brigid, think about it... She probably has a gaggle of secretaries handing her the most interesting/important articles from newspapers, never mind their names... she can't just flounce out of her office and go get the $1.00 newspaper on the corner of the street! She doesn't have time, she's running for Vice! So of course she's going to have people sifting through newspapers and giving her only the ones that are most important. Plus if she named a particular newspaper, imediatly all people against that newspaper are going to hate her. Plus I'm sure she doesn't just read one newspaper.... probably all the important ones...
Sorry for butting into your conversation, but I think Gov. Palin is a good person. She wanted to help her town, and thought she could make it better for the residents, so she ran for Mayor. She wanted to help her state, thought she could make it better for it's citizens, so she ran for Governor. She was chosen as a running mate. She thinks she can help her country and make it a better place to live for it's citizens. She is not a billionaire, or a graduate of posh Harvard or Yale. She is everyday people, she is more like us than Obama or McCain.
Seth, perhaps you aren't explaning it quite clearly enough.Do you mean to say that you think she is a good person, because she clearly isn't a bad person, but you don't agree with her on the running of this country.
After all, the quality of a person should NOT have anything to do with running for office. I mean, the main thing is to have somebody who is competent and will address issues in a way that you believe is correct.
If you don't understand what I'm saying, think about it this way: Your neighbor is (probably) a good person in your eyes, but would you want them to run the country?
so they both have somewhat limited experience. how does that make palin better?and obama can't make up his mind? sarah palin can't even answer simple questions.
