Not at all. His writing style is particularly irritating to me, but that's a matter of opinion; the lack of substance in all the books by him I've read, however, (I've only read 4, I admit :P) is not. His level of preachiness is rivaled only by Horatio Alger.

You're one of the few people I've talked to who actually like his books; most people I've talked to do not.Morality shots are fluff. We don't need literature to preach to us.... And I doubt you'll think this a valid answer, but everything. A lack of substance would indicate fluff, no?
