♥ Rachel♥ (i_got_a_jar_of_dirt) Dickens is awful...have you read him? No talent at all, just straight morality shots.

Of course I've read him. And saying he has no talent is like saying Albert Einstein was stu..."

Not at all. His writing style is particularly irritating to me, but that's a matter of opinion; the lack of substance in all the books by him I've read, however, (I've only read 4, I admit :P) is not. His level of preachiness is rivaled only by Horatio Alger.

I know, I said that if I only disliked his style, I wouldn't say anything because that's my opinion but his books are a bunch of fluff, which is not a matter of opinion - at least, I can't find anything deep in them. I've read Great Expectations, A Tale of Two Cities, A Christmas Carol, and Oliver Twist.

♥ Rachel♥ (i_got_a_jar_of_dirt) Hmm, I suppose not ^-^ But it is rather commonly agreed upon...which isn't the same thing of course. Point semi-proven ^-^

♥ Rachel♥ (i_got_a_jar_of_dirt) You're one of the few people I've talked to who actually like his books; most people I've talked to do not.
Morality shots are fluff. We don't need literature to preach to us.... And I doubt you'll think this a valid answer, but everything. A lack of substance would indicate fluff, no?

Okay.
