Does anyone know when the exact public release date is? I'm really desperate to find out.

But when in october?!

I'm hoping it's the first as I wasn't able to be a beta tester. I doubt it will be though :( I least we know it's sometime in October.

If it's the first (hopefully so) then it'll be open TOMORROW!! YeeeEEEEEeeeeeeeeee~!

It looks like, according to the Pottermore Insider blog, that we're not going to be able to get in until the end of October now, as they've decided to lengthen the beta period. :( And even then, after receiving the welcome email, we may not get access for weeks or even months! :( Bummer.

The Pottermore website has been updated accordingly. Check it out if curious.

Yep. It sucks royally! :( Though hopefully the site will have less issues when we can finally get in because of the longer beta period. I'm trying to stay positive, but it's difficult.

I know! Sooo sad. I'm quite desperate to get in. The only reason I couldn't get into the beta period was because I was working all that week and was away all day, and therefore couldn't stay up till the wee hours of the morning. Not fair really. :( I rather dislike the time difference between here and London because of it!

The worst is when the next book will be ready!! Like the site is going to open for Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, but how long will it take for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets?!?!?

After the beta period is over and the site is open to the public, how long will that take to die down before the next book comes out?
They have to hurry up!!!!

I know! I bet it won't come out till at least early next year. Most likely the middle of next year though. I'm only guessing. ;)

Yeah. It's super sucky. But we have no choice sadly. The waiting afterwards is whats really going to kill me though!

Yep! There are some people who have registered more than one account, or just simply got bored of Pottermore (don't know how that is possible, but anyway)...

Just like to point out that this IS breaking the Pottermore rules. But I don't think I'll be able to get an account anyway. I've found 3 offers, and one has already rejected me :(

Thanks! It's completely how I'm feeling though. I'd prefer to wait and see it when it's in better shape then go on now and have to deal with all the glitches and such.

There is not much to see for now in Pottermore since you can go through Philosopher's stone in 2-3 hours and they won't release Chamber of Secrets before 2012... :(

I can't believe that they only have Potions and Duelling... since the start, my favourite HP subject has been Charms, and where's that?

Yeah I'm bummed about it too but I enjoy doing Potions thus far (can't say the same for spells/duelling though). Charms is my fave subject too along with Astronomy. Just because you can use it in the Muggle world and I have always wanted to study it in college but time doesn't permit me.

Transfiguration would be very cool and I think they could incorporate it into Pottermore quite easily as well.

I'm not sure how they would do a quidditch team for each house cause you can only fit 7 players on one team and there is 600,000 people on Pottermore which would take a long time. But they should at least have try outs or like beta testers for try outs and see how that goes. Cause the site is getting a little bit dull cause you keep doing the same things over and over again.

But, it might take lots of controlling of the mouse to do it because you would have to control your broom and watch the ball or whatever you are assigned to do.
If it does work, they should refresh the teams every week and get new teams because it wouldn't be fair.

I like the changing it up every week! It's a great idea. :) But yeah I do agree with you in how it would be super challenging to make the teams in the first place.

It would be. It would be cool if it was an iPod app so you can hit something for where you're going and you could tilt your device for how your broom would move. But that would be hard too!

I know right! Though I had a feeling they'd extend it longer. I'm frustrated but I'm trying not to use up to much energy as there's really nothing we can do. We just have to suck it up and wait, sadly. :(

To be honest, it actually gets old after awhile. After doing the sorting and getting the wand, there's really nothing else to do except to brew potions.
