There are so many great lines in this book, I want to start a catalogue of them before I forget. Here are some that come to mind right now (Please add more):
Said by Marianne to Elinor, Lucy, and Edward Ferrars "...he has the most delicate conscience in the world; the most scupulous in performing every engagement... however it may make against his interest or pleasure..." (All this is building up to the funniest line) "The nature of her commendation, in the present case, however, happened to be particularly ill suited to the feelings of two thirds of her auditors" (II, Chapter XIII)
On meeting the other Ferrers at the jewelry shop: "The ivory, the gold, and the pearls, all received their appointment; and the gentlemen having named the last day on which his existence could be continued without the possession of the tooth-pick case..." (II, Chapter XI).
