Does anyone understand the significance of the pictures on the covers of the books? Like what does the apple in the hands mean and the ribbon on Eclipse, the chess piece on Breaking Dawn ( I think I get that one), The flower on New Moon? Just wondering if anyone would be able to enlighten me on the subject. Sorry it might be a dumb question, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed.

ohh lol u can find some of these answers on stephenie meyers website but...to save u the time...the apple in hands represents the forbidden fruit like in the bible cuz Edwards and Bellas love was forbidden. and i also know that Breaking Dawn represent that Bella started out weak like a pawn then became strong like the queen in chess. Hope that helps. idk about New Moon or Eclipse sry.
Oh and i also thing that the cover of Breaking Dawn represents the weakness that the Volturi became when Bella was a vampire...im not sure about this but thats what one of my friends told me. I know the one above is true cuz it said that on Stephenie's website.www.stepheniemeyer.com
Eclipse:The torn ribbon shows Bella's heart is torn in two, and how she doesn't know who she should be with. Edward or Jacob.
OMFG!I just received the following announcement from Elizabeth:
"Exclusive Twilight Listening Parties at Hot Topic stores:
Be one of the first people to hear the entire Twilight soundtrack (in-stores November 4th). Hot Topic will be hosting exclusive listening parties at all of their locations on Friday, October 24th at 7pm. They'll be playing every song, including the previously unreleased songs from Paramore, Rob Pattinson, Perry Farrell and Mutemath, PLUS hear the unveiling of "Bella's Lullaby".
Hot Top is also offering 10% off your Twilight purchase at the event and you can preorder the soundtrack to get a special gift. If you aren't near a Hot Topic, you can still preorder the soundtrack by clicking here."
While I'm posting, I thought I would let you know that The Twilight Saga Box Set (which contains all four hardcover books) has been officially released as is currently shipping. Also, although Twilight: The Complete Illustrated Movie Companion was not supposed to be released until the end of the month, Amazon.com is apparently shipping the books already. I just thought you would like to know (you can click on the images below to order them if you haven't already).
I know. Never Think. That's the song he's singing. I WANT TO HEAR ROB! I know Edaward-fan girls WILL scream. I'm not a fan-girl but I will scream.
i love the bookcovers of like all the books
okay so i checked on stephenie's webpage about the cover of New Moon and this is what she said:That is a ruffled tulip. As for the meaning...it has none because the publishers and the marketing and sales departments made the cover. She had nothing to do with this one.
I wish it had some sort of meaning...Can anyone thing of something it could mean?
since it haS a petal falling off i think it means the 'he loves me, he loves me not' kinda thing
Thanks guys!! If we're going to make something up for the New Moon cover then I would say that it looked like that flower 'bleeding Heart' and it's because Edward has left Bella in almost the whole book.
ya i was thinking the flower could represent bella and since edward is gone, a part of her is missing; which could be the petal falling lol. idk really.
