Lauren (lauren-sky) | 52 comments For those who are registered, have any of you gotten a hat stall? (It's where you get to choose which house to get into because the sorting results were unclear)

message 2: by [deleted user] (new)

Is that even possible?

message 3: by Gaille (new)

Gaille (melliag) I heard some people got to choose between two houses. So yes it is possible, it's rare though.

message 4: by Bree (new)

Bree (breefromcanada) That would be so cool! I would definitely go for Slytherin if I had a choice. You?

message 5: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (lauren-sky) | 52 comments Slytherin or Ravenclaw. But I see myself in all of the houses :)

message 6: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (shadowrose) I agree that would have been cool! I would have probably been between Slytherin or Ravenclaw too, but I would have still chosen Slytherin.

message 7: by Becca (new)

Becca (harrypotterfreak13) Definitely between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff for me. They're usually very close for me whenever I do a quiz, so maybe I will be one of the lucky ones and get to choose which one I want to get sorted into. :) I'd pick Hufflepuff of course!

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

AWESOME!

I can't imagine being anything but a Hufflepuff now, but if I had to pick from one of the 3 other houses, I'd pick Slytherin. They're so nice!

'Puffs are a-mazing! But it sounds like everyone else is too. Everyone seems to be getting along and being super friendly from what I've seen here.

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah! The Slytherins are so nice and encouraging! They're always telling us not to give up, because we still have a chance!

Aww! That's so sweet. Very unslytherinish like. Though they are very steriotyped, so...

message 12: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (shadowrose) It's probably the most stereotyped house. I mean a lot of people seem to think we would be mean. You can be ambitious and nice.

Them and Hufflepuff.

Agree! Hufflepuffs are made out to be boring, uninteresting people that no other house wants. But most Hufflepuffs are loyal, hardworking, genuinely nice people, who just weren't brave, smart, or ambitious enough to be placed in one of the other houses. They may have those qualities, but just don't have enough of them to be true Gryffindors, Slytherins, or Ravenclaws.

message 17: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (lauren-sky) | 52 comments These are the houses I want in order of preference:

=1. Ravenclaw
=1. Slytherin
3. Hufflepuff
4. Gryffindor

honestly, if i get gryffindor, i think i'll make another account to get a different house ;)

message 18: by [deleted user] (last edited Oct 12, 2011 07:06AM) (new)

I highly reccomend NOT making a new account. No matter what house you're in, they put the most positive spin on it. The people are so nice. Hufflepuff was MY last choice, but I'm there anyway and now I couldn't imagine it any other way. If I had to change back then I'd say Ravenclaw, if I had to change right now I'd say Gryffindor or Slytherin. And that's not tomething to wink about. If you cheat the test, you won't get sorted where you belong, and you will have to be able to live with knowing you lied. Be honest, and happy with your result no matter what, and you will find your true house and happiness.

message 19: by Bree (new)

Bree (breefromcanada) Don't worry about where your sorted into, you'll love it in the end!

message 20: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (lauren-sky) | 52 comments Yeah, I guess so. Thanks guys!!! (I don't think I'll get into Gryffindor anyhow, 'cos i'm not your brave courageous type of person)

*snort* Oh yes, because we're all TOTALLY poster children for Gryffindor. Don't worry, everything will turn out fine.

message 28: by Becca (new)

Becca (harrypotterfreak13) I'm just really hoping I get Hufflepuff. Though I could deal with any house really. I tend to adapt well, so we'll see. :)

message 29: by Jess (new)

Jess (msbe_reads) | 11 comments So glad to hear all of the positive support for Hufflepuffs here! I've always claimed Hufflepuff and was personally thrilled to be sorted a Badger!

I absolutely LOVED the prefect's letter for Hufflepuffs, by the way. Also really enjoyed reading JKR's comments on the house! And don't you just love the Hobbit/Shire feel of the common room?

But if I would have been a stall, I would guess my stall would have been between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw.

No i don't think sO!

message 35: by Potterlover9516 (new)

Potterlover9516 | 2 comments I got a hat stall between Ravenclaw and Slytherin. I picked Ravenclaw, of course, anything but Slytherin. Sorry, Slytherin lovers.

message 36: by Potterlover9516 (new)

Potterlover9516 | 2 comments Well, I guess Slytherin isn't BAD... I agree, it may be stereotyped. Sorry bout that last comment....

message 37: by Martha (new)

Martha | 3 comments I had a hat stall between Slytherin and Hufflepuff. Though I have Hufflepuff qualities (and happy to have them), I knew Slytherin would be a better match for my personality, so I chose Slytherin. I have not, and never will, regret my choice. Proud to be a Snake, Go Slytherin! ^_^

Not all Slytherins are bad, just like not all Gryffindors are good. Be happy with what ever house you end up in and respect the ones that you didn't. The stereotyping really does need to stop.

message 38: by Jr (new)

Jr Mccallum (jrmccallum) | 2 comments So, I thought everybody got a 'what house do you want to be in?' sort of question, but after talking to my friends no one else seemed to. Turns out I was a four way hat stall. Which I actually totally get. But it was still a surprise because I didn't think that was possible with Pottermore. And apparently it is!
