Michelle Gilmore Maybe cronic isn't exactly the right word, but I'm looking for book rec's where someone was somehow frozen/ preserved only to awakened years later. The rec's don't have to necessarily be SFR, but it's definitely preferred. Thanks!

AnnaM (annamc) | 1111 comments The Legend of Banzai Maguire (2176 Series, #1) by Susan Grant series.
The Lancaster Rule by T.K. Toppin series.

I'll probably think of more after my headache settles down.

Jacqueline J | 154 comments We've talked about this series extensively on another thread here but Dauntless (The Lost Fleet, #1) by Jack Campbell definitely fits this criteria

Michelle Gilmore Thanks Ladies! That's a great start. I forgot all about The Legend of Banzai Maguire (2176 Series, #1) by Susan Grant . I have a copy of that one, but haven't read it yet. I read An Accidental Goddess by Linnea Sinclair , but can't really recall it, so I'll have to re-read it at some point.

Michelle Gilmore Thankfully, I can read The Lancaster Rule by T.K. Toppin on my Nook, so I just treated myself to a copy.

Michelle Gilmore Here's another one that I found:

Cold Warriors by Clare Dargin

Jan (janoda) | 226 comments Haha.
I have the perfect crazy example of this.
An archaeologist digs up a Man From Atlantis (Spellbound), who has been in cryo for about 10.000 years. And the descendants of Atlantis have gone to space, so they are now aliens. Awesomesauce all around.

And it's category, so it's really short, which makes it perfect for a lazy crazy afternoon :)

namericanwordcat | 156 comments In the Viola Grace books, I just read [bookcover:Impatient|8114549. She is suspended so that she can wait for her mate to age.

Its fun and light.

Kagama-the Literaturevixen | 21 comments Lucky Star definetely has romance

Across the Universe
A Long, Long Sleep

I count these as romantic as there is possibility of a romance/remembering lost love

When We Wake
I Was a Teenage Popsicle

Havent read these one yet but pretty sure they have a love interest.

Short story about two people that are frozen and love each other but keeps being woken up when the other is still frozen.

Celestine | 286 comments Anyone interested in a cryo-sleep theme should definitely check out The Syn-En Solution by Linda Andrews. The scene where they find her is really well done, plus there are tie-ins to the rest of the story and more books in the series. The Syn-En Solution(Sys-En,#1) by Linda Andrews
