Laura | 6 comments Does anyone remember a children's book about a mouse that lived inside a guitar, in a music store? The fact the I can't remember the title has been bugging me for a while now. It's not like it's of earth shaking importance or anything, but it'd be one less thing gnawing on my mind if someone could help me out with the title so I could stop thinking about it. :)

Sylvester The Mouse with the Musical Ear by Adelaide Holl

Description:
The tale of an uprooted country mouse who must find a new home when his grassy meadow with its "lovely sounds" is mowed down to make way for a highway. Luckily a music shop in the city provides an appealing alternative.

from WorldCat:
Displaced from his country home, a mouse finds lodging in a guitar where a new musical life opens up for him.

Laura | 6 comments Thanks, Rebecca- And BTW - WOW! I was surprised to even receive an answer, & then you got it correct right away, even though I had remembered it part of it wrong- (since I had thought the guitar was inside a music store. I think I must've mixed this one up with part of another one.)I know this wasn't important info, but it had been bugging me for a while that I couldn't remember this,so I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out. :) Especially when I had remembered part incorrectly,(or mixed it up with another book,) because I thought that when he went to live inside the guitar, the guitar was inside a music shop. But as soon as I saw the book cover & the title, I knew you had got it right! (& I rememberd the part about "Tex",too.) Thank you .It was a silly little thing, but it was bugging me that I couldn't remember it. So thanks again & BRAVO! That was pretty remarkable that you nailed that so quickly and in spite of my mistaken info, too. :) -Laura
