I am literally counting the hours!!!!!

Sylvia | 350 comments How many hours do you expect?

Emanuela ~plastic duck~ (manutwo) | 1768 comments I'd better turn the wireless on on my kindle. If it were released on my midnight, it would be in two hours :D

message 7: by Sylvia (new)

Sylvia | 350 comments :) That is my midnight too, I don't suppose it's midnight for Samhain in 2 hours ;)

Sylvia wrote: "How many hours do you expect?"

Well, usually I can get it right at midnight on Sahmain, and I pre-ordered it. So eight more hours. I love "New Josh Lanyon Book Day"! :O)

message 9: by Sylvia (new)

Sylvia | 350 comments Can you use Kindle wireless in Italy?

Ok, that would be 6 am here, my normal wake-up time

It usually comes out Midnight Eastern Time so, it'll be more around the time you ladies wake up.

Emanuela ~plastic duck~ (manutwo) | 1768 comments Sylvia wrote: "Can you use Kindle wireless in Italy?"

Yep! I don't know if you have to set it as your location in your profile though

You can always buy it on Sahmain and compulsively refresh starting at about quarter to midnight, that's what I'm doing :O)

message 17: by Blaine (new)

Blaine (blainedarden) I wish I could afford to stay awake until midnight :(
But I have an appointment tomorrow and I need to not be sleep deprived.
Guess I'll have to wait for morning.

message 18: by Sylvia (new)

Sylvia | 350 comments I just pre-ordered it, yay!

Emanuela ~plastic duck~ (manutwo) | 1768 comments Lauraadriana wrote: "You can always buy it on Sahmain and compulsively refresh starting at about quarter to midnight, that's what I'm doing :O)"

I pre-ordered it from Amazon months ago, so I have to wait for them :)

message 20: by Sylvia (new)

Sylvia | 350 comments Midnight at Samhain is probably 6 am in Holland, so you can sleep :)

message 21: by Antonella (new)

Antonella | 11617 comments Oh, thank you for the information about the European time! It's good not only for Holland!

message 22: by Sylvia (new)

Sylvia | 350 comments I thought I had it pre-ordered but I couldn't find anything so I just did it to make sure.

Amazon books are always more expensive for me than for US-customers. I don't like that so I mostly buy from the publisher. That's what has kept me from buying a Kindle.

Emanuela ~plastic duck~ (manutwo) | 1768 comments It's also my dad's birthday tomorrow and I give presents to myself, lol

Yes, it's usually so, but I remember there was a discount when I preordered it.

And it's "New Josh Lanyon Book Day" a very special day indeed :O) I just realized I pre-ordered from Amazon and Sahmain...Ummm compusive shopper much?...Oh and Buon Compleanno to your papa :O)

Emanuela ~plastic duck~ (manutwo) | 1768 comments Lauraadriana wrote: "Buon Compleanno to your papa :O)"

Thank you! :D

I know why you pre-ordered it everywhere: just in case one is released a minute before the other!

Thank you all for buying -- and in some cases multi-buying -- the book! I hope it's waiting for you in the a.m. and that you have a pleasant day sneaking peeks. ;-D

Well, at least it's just a few hours till release time. ;-D

Oh no no! Minutes! It's past 11:30 on the East Coast :O) I hope to have this book in my hands VERY SOON!

message 39: by Diane (new)

Diane (dianenyc) I love pre-ordering books from Amazon and having them pop-up on Kindle spontaneously! It's such a fun surprise.

I wish Amazon let users "subscribe" to an author, so their books would automatically pre-order and deliver. That would be a win-win for writers and readers!

message 40: by [deleted user] (new)

Woo Hoo!! It's in my Kindle!! *Happy Dances* Off to read!!

HJ | 3603 comments I woke up early (in the UK) and immediately turned on Kindle and watched Mummy Dearest download. I read it straight away and loved it! Thank you - and (without meaning to hassle) when is Book 2 due?! I see from Aunt Lynn on Jessewave that you're taking a sabbatical next year so I'm guessing no time soon...

All the best with your sabbatical. I'll miss your excellent stories (unless you've been working flat out to ensure a steady supply while you're away?).

message 49: by Antonella (new)

Antonella | 11617 comments I was away in the morning and I've just downloaded it from Samhain: they didn't warn me it was in my bookshelf! Anyway I can't read it till this evening, so it doesn't matter...

Emanuela ~plastic duck~ (manutwo) | 1768 comments I liked this one too!!!

Just a couple of thoughts:

The characters are cute and sweet, but in such an understated way that you don't realize they have you wrapped around their little fingers until the end of the page, when it's over and you cry out for more.

My favorite scene. It's probably spoilerish. The silent tears Fraser wipes away from Drew's cheeks show that you can write something very emotional without having to make your characters sob and cry like banshees. I think it's the best moment of the book, because it's a very private moment for Drew, a moment when he's at his most vulnerable, and he shares it with a kind of stranger who has shown him tenderness and affection and passion. See my little tear?

I want another one!!!
