Well, I'm homeschooled, so I don't have to worry about high school... I'm quite worried about college, though. And how to get into a good editing internship program. I'm hoping to edit some independently published middle grade books to build up my resume.
Oh yeah, it starts in a different year in Australia... In America, we have to wait until 9th grade. >:(
I'm nervous about high-school because I'm homeschooled right now and I'll be going to a catholic school.
Frances, you're so awesome you have nothing to worry about. Trust me, it's not that scary. I've been in Catholic school all me life and my three brothers have been through the same Catholic highschool I'm going to.
I'm homeschooled, so I'll only go to highschool if I want to. But, here in Louisiana, it's hard to get into a good one, because they're so....."exclusive"

It's not that hard, Frances. And most people carry their back packs with all their books for the morning classes around until their first free. Then they switch them out for their afternoon books.
Plus I have the pressure of getting a scholarship. My older sister got a half-scholarship and now everyone thinks like I'm definitely going to get one but I don't think I will because you have to go through an interview process and they talk about being christian a lot and I'm really not like a good christian at all.
Yeah-I got the little scholarship you get by doing well on the placement test, but I'm shooting for my school's scholarship.
(I like english class, art class and I'm good at science and maths - although, I detest maths itself!)
It's pressure though and if you do well enough on the test you have an interview which I would totally fail at because it's a catholic school and I'm not really catholic at all so if they ask me almost any religious question I'm pretty much guaranteed to get it wrong.
Dude, I go to a Catholic high school and there are PLENTY of Jewish and non religious people. I got in, and I got in with a scholarship. I seriously wouldn't stress about it, which I know is easier said than done.
I go to an Anglican school, and they don't really care if you're not extremely religious. Generally, even if they are religious schools, they won't kick you out for not being super religious unless you decide to spend the interview smashing things and screaming "ANARCHY!".Which I very much doubt you would do.
