Nick (whyzen) | 1295 comments Maybe its because of Tron or maybe its because he used to run drugs but I find myself picturing Jeff Bridges (aka "The Dude") as Richard. Maybe its just me but it seems like a good fit. When I say "he used to run drugs" I mean Richard btw .. not Jeff Bridges.

Anyways, well "The Dude" abides.

Jeffrey J | 39 comments Well now I can't get that picture out of my head, thanks:)

Lee | 43 comments Think you might be onto something both their stories seem very rug oriented :)

Only half way through but I hope there's no unexpected twist where someone pees on that bear skin rug.............

Pupsi (pupsiphull) | 23 comments Nick,

I totally agree, now that you have crystallised this image I will always think of Richard as Jeff Bridges

Jim (kskryptonian) | 202 comments Funny, the first few chapters reminded me of my family so much (my dad grew up on an oil field, my grandpa was a oil pumper in the height of Kansas oil) with the stories of gun nuts, lightning strikes, people driven mad because of things they have seen, all that made me think about my own Uncle Richard, tall as a beanpole and a bad combover, deep voice and weird outlook on life. It really felt like some of those early anecdotes were lifted from stories I hear every single time my extended family get together in rural Greenwood county.

But, yeah, I can see the Dude. If I squint.

Kris (kvolk) OK now I have a clear picture of Richard...

That would be a shame, that rug really made the room...
