Libby Hi. I write crime fiction thrillers. I have published 8 novels. Most are traditionally published, but the most recent, TOXICITY is e-book only. It turned out to be a prequel to one of my series.

My first series is a cross between "Desperate Housewives and 24" and features Ellie Foreman, a single mother and video producer who gets involved in dark situations. There are 4 novels in that series.

The second series evolved out of the Ellie books and features Georgia Davis, a PI who used to be a cop. Including the prequel, there are 3 of those.

I've also written a stand alone thriller that goes back, in part, to the late 60s in Chicago. It came out last December (SET THE NIGHT ON FIRE)

My next novel is a literary thriller that is set in Iran during the revolution.

You can find out more at my website: www.libbyhellmann.com. Including my blog, SAY THE WORD (And you'll be free...) Come visit. Even stay a while!

Thanks for reading this far...

I know what you mean, I jumped in because a friend wanted to do a write-a-long and now its a weekly thing where a bunch of us get together (online) and post whatever story we wrote that week.

(In fact, it's so much fun we ought to do one here, working on it now!)

B. Asher (breganasher) | 2 comments Hi folks.

If you are interested in different kind of e-novel, based on an insider's look at where the world's largest retailer is heading, take a look at my new e-book Il Vendetta (http://breganasher.com/ilvendetta). With extortion, kidnapping, murder, evil managers, weak buyers, innocent suppliers and vindictive employees, this is a story not to be missed.

I also have a new hacker e-novel called White Cell (http://breganasher.com/whitecell). A good hacker inadvertently gets mixed up with the Mafia and some terrorists.

As a very new author I am looking for readers and reviewers. And I love feedback.

Todd Russell (toddrussell) | 6 comments I wanted to write a story with the setting being the creepiest island on earth.

A place where time, worldly possessions and events mean nothing. A place without cell phones, radio, television and the internet. A place filled with darkness, death, but a sliver of hope. A place surrounded by an ocean prison.

A place where a storm shipwrecks a rich woman.

A man rescues the woman and trains her to survive on the island. A man who is not what he seems...

Fresh Flesh (Fresh, #1) by Todd Russell

This is my debut psychological thriller, horror novel Fresh Flesh and I hope you'll check out the sample. The cover was drawn by International Horror Guild winning artist Aeron Alfrey and looks fantastic in the 6x9 paperback as well as the ebook (click the image to see a larger version).

Well I just wanted to share that yesterday (oct. 4th, 2011) I got my very first 5 star review and rating on my book The Princess & The Thug... I am so excited bc the reviewer talked about the ending and how glad she was that I had written the alternate ending... She almost made me want to put it back up... However I had removed the alternate ending to keep in line with part 2 of the story line... I'm so glad that she had the earlier edition and was able to appreciate the difference. It made me feel really good, bc I've heard from so many readers how much they were moved to tears from the story... But they never wrote a review of the book or rated it...

But I am moved to tears to have received a review on Amazon finally...

Shannon Dermott (shannondermott) Hi All, my book Beg for Mercy is available at Amazon and B&N.

The Summary is:
Everyone dreams of that first kiss. Of that magic moment when your lips finally meet those of that special person you’ve waited your whole life for. A little awkward, a little scary, a little hot and every bit amazing. We speculate that the whole world will shake and time will just stop. No one, however, ever imagines that kiss to bring Death himself knocking.

I would love to get feedback and reviews.

Happy Reading!!

Jyoti Arora (jyotiarora) | 3 comments Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.
(From 'Dreams,' by Langston Hughes)

Watch the video trailer of Dream's Sake: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6eN04...

Dreams give life to hope, breath to ambition and a meaning and purpose to existence, making it what can be called 'Life.' We all dream, and we all do what we can to make our dreams come true. But how far can a person go to fulfil the dreams of someone else? That's the question that the two closely inter-linked love stories in Dream's Sake seek to answer.
Dream's Sake is an intense and gripping novel telling the story of dreams, of friendship and of love, all of these gasping and struggling under a heavy burden of past traumas, personal doubts, fears and insecurities, and social prejudices.

Back Cover

“He can be as good as he wants to be and I’ll be as bad as I need to be! We’ll see where it all ends up,” says Aashi.

She believes she has a right to fight for her dreams. She believes a little bit of selfishness is necessary to survive in this world. Abhi, however, has not learnt that lesson. And he can’t accept the fulfilment of his hopes when they seem to rise from the ruins of Aashi’s dreams.

His sister Priyam and friend Sid are made from much the same mould. And in the path of their love too lies a dream – the dream of a dead and betrayed mother.

Feelings rise, and are suppressed. Past grips the present and threatens the future. Memories refuse to wane their shadows from the heart. Hope and despair fight a battle. Guilt rises up and resents the forgiveness. Revenge weaves a web. Friendship is tested. And love demands a sacrifice. A tumultuous battle wages on...

What lies at the end of this battle?

How far can a person go to fulfill the dreams of someone else?

Lose yourself in the pages of this gripping saga of love and friendship to find out.

Susan Lerner Hi, I recently published a collection of short stories and memoir. It has two five-star reviews and a few likes on Amazon, and Goodreads. It's available on Kindle and Nook. The description is:
A collection of short stories and memoir previously published in literary magazines and newspapers. The stories reveal moments in the lives of young women who lead ostensibly busy, successful lives, but are somehow lonely and discontent. Their search for connection leads to encounters with an array of men--the garage attendant across the street, the stay-at-home dad in the playground, the younger man at the diner counter--with both funny and poignant results.
Also included is an excerpt from a novel-in-progress, a modern day Romeo and Juliet story about a Jewish premed student and a Palestinian doctor.
If it sounds interesting to you, please give it a try!
The link is on my website http://sblerner.com.
I have a blog, too. The posts show up on my Goodreads Author bio. they are on random topics that I hope are useful, and updates on the book. It's still a work in progress.

Summer Daniels (summerdaniels) | 3 comments Hi everyone,

I'm Summer and I'm happy to join this group - I love interacting with other Goodreads members. I have been in contact with a number of fellow authors and readers.

I am writing a True Romance / Erotica series that I will confess is very closely based on my own adventures since my divorce about 18 months ago or so.

I have learned a lot about myself, my re-awakened sexuality and life in general.

I am a very new indie author that is getting some really great feedback and reviews for my series so far. It is truly humbling to hear some of the feedback and really makes me only want to work harder at my writing craft. (I'll confess as well that it is a little terrifying as well as I want to make perfectly sure that each volume lives up to expectations!!)

Anyway - without further ado -

Volume One of my series is probably 95% background information and character development to setup the series to come. Learn about how Mark and I met, and his unique ways of communication.

Summer's Journey: Volume One - Losing Control

Summer's Journey Volume One - Losing Control by Summer Daniels

Volume Two is where we find out what happens after my little black dress hit the hotel room floor! Things get very HOT, very quickly. Quite explicit, so be forewarned.

Summer's Journey: Volume Two - Alphabetical Assignation

Summer's Journey Volume Two - Alphabetical Assignation by Summer Daniels

One beta reader actually sent me an email about Volume Two that in part said: "I wish I had not read this on a bright and sunny afternoon, but rather at night in bed with vibrator in hand to deal with the sexual tension it creates."

Wow!! At first I thought "Whoa! Over-sharing!!" - then I honestly thought - "Wow - what a compliment!". ;-)

Anyway - that is me and my books to date. I love to hear feedback so please let me know what you think if you get a chance to check them out.

I look forward to interacting and meeting the members of this great group!

Summer

Sabine Reed (sabineareed) | 9 comments Hi. I have my fantasy e-novella The Black Orb out from Uncial Press: The Black Orb by Sabine A. Reed

Here is its blurb:

Aria is a young conniving thief and a con artist, living in the city of Kalaba. When her brother Marcus is taken prisoner by the Queen of Azmeer, Aria embarks on a desperate quest to free him. To save her brother, she has to enlist the help of an old wizard, Bikkar, who is critical of her thieving habits. The way to sever the power of the Queen is to break her magical weapon, the Black Orb, with which she plans to enslave not only her own subjects but other kingdoms also. In order to gain access to the Dragon Claw, the only weapon that can destroy the Black Orb, Aria has to travel with Bikkar to the end of the kingdom and enter the mythical Forest of the Drayds, fight with the stone warriors and endure the company of the old man whom she secretly despises.

Also, I have my own blog at http://sabineareed.com/ where I write about the writing and publishing process to guide other writers.

Allan Leverone (goodreadscomallan_leverone) | 2 comments Hi! Just a quick word to let you know my thriller, THE LONELY MILE, has been reduced for a limited time only to 99 cents!

NY Times bestselling author Debbi Mack calls THE LONELY MILE "suspenseful and well-written," and bestselling author Scott Nicholson says, "Allan Leverone delivers a taut crime drama full of twists and conspiracy."

Here's a quick synopsis:
When struggling hardware store owner Bill Ferguson witnesses a kidnapping in progress, he reacts instinctively, breaking up the crime and saving a young girl. But the kidnapper, a sociopath known as the “I-90 Killer,” escapes and vows revenge, targeting Ferguson’s own daughter as his next victim. Now one terrified father must unravel a plot that may go much deeper than he realizes, racing against time to save his only child from an unthinkable fate.

THE LONELY MILE has received a 4.7 average on twenty reviews at Amazon, and a 4.45 average on 31 ratings here at Goodreads.

Thanks for your time!
