I live about 10 minutes walk(with pushchair) from a mainstreet that has 10 charity shops. A couple of weeks ago I got 8 mint hardback Lemony Snicket books bogof.
My other lucky finds were 6 Harukai Murakami books that didn't include the 3 I've read. I'd been looking for years every time I went into charity shops. I've got a big National Geographic Wideangle photography book Wide Angle National Geographic Greatest Places by Ferdinand Protzman The Story of Art by Ernst Hans Josef Gombrich PostSecret Extraordinary Confessions from Ordinary Lives by Frank Warren and a cookbook titled 'Curry' all in one day.
I've bought more books since getting a kindle than in the years before.

Becky McWilliams Guinness (billiesue) I went to the oxfam bookshop yesterday and got:

- Inventing Elliot by Graham Gardner
- Mirror Mirror by Gregory Maguire
- Water For Elephants by Sara Gruen
- The Passion of Alice by Stephanie Grant

for £1.99 each. I was very impressed with what I got, especially Mirror Mirror which I've been wanting to read for ages!

Maybe we should do a little group/side read of Water for Elephants next month - I was searching for a half decently priced copy last year but since the film came out it seems really popular.
I'm plan to introduce a section for paired/mini groug/side reads and an organised individual reading goal for 2012 (with folder started soon so people can plan) listing books that are unfinished/have been planning to read for at least a year and some other themes.
