mlady_rebecca Does anyone know if the short stories in this series are part of the general flow of the series? In other words, can I skip over the short stories, or will I be missing part of the overall plot arc?

On the author's website, she includes the shorts in her series numbering, which would imply you can't skip them.

Dhfan4life I've read the shorts and mostly they are just mini sex scenes. And in one, the princess of hell, Lucinda is introduced briefly. Beyond that I didn't think they were super important to the rest of the stories. Mind you this was a tough series for me to continue after a while there. As there is such a heavy theme of rape in there so often. Not sure what the author was trying to say by that. But it is definitely there.

U miss some of the story if u don't read them. I read the anthology On The Prowl, before the 1st one and I was bothered. I wasn't suppose to know what I found out yet :(

The short stories pick up immediately after the books, as if only one day has past. There are some events in the shorts that are important..such as Mona Lisa's 1st trip to Hell which takes place in book 2. Fortunately you can buy the short of this book and not invest in the entire anthology. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11...

The fourth story which was a novella in "On the Prowl" was significant as something important changes in Mona Lisa and she takes on a new lover. I dislike when writers place important facts in anthologies because I can't always afford them and they are not always available at the public library.

Elorigan I agree about the shorts being mini sex scenes, but they do add a little extra insight to the series. I agree also about not liking when important info is only made in anthologies...they are too easy to miss.

Ashley Smith I'm only on the second book but did read the short story between one and two. Already the author has made metion of what happened in the short story. I'm hoping they get better because all I sesnsing is alot of sex between her and her men. I fill an Anita Blake theme here. I hope not because I don't know if I can deal with that in antoher serie's. I'm going to continue on with the serie's and hope that it get's better.

Margo Okay so I read these series because of few things: first because I read anything that has Mona in name (stupid but true); second because I'm obsessed with "moon" theme so I was curious and third I read that there is a lot of sex scenes and at the end only the last one of these reasons kept we reading those books. I actually felt like I was reading short stories then books 'cause there was a lot of things going on in them and they didn't connect with each other they just stopped and the book started to describe something totally different. But still - not bad.

She references things that happened in the short stories in the regular books. Its worth it to read them because it gives you insight into the characters. Sometimes when she writes its like you are missing an inside joke if you don't read the novellas too.

Jen you may as well read them she is taking forever to write the next one :(

Michielle It is also a great idea to read them in order with Lucinda, Demon Princess series. They are interwoven in some places.

Jen Looks like 3 years since she updated website too.....

Dhfan4life No clue. I haven't heard anything more about this author or her books in ages.

Michielle http://www.sunnyauthor.com/faq/

This may be outdated, released before Mona Lisa Eclipsing. But she said no more Lucinda. But those characters may appear in more Monere' books.

Charmer (+ Vibes Only) I hope she gives us more. Children of the Moon was my first Erotica book, and I'm missin Dontay.
