Eighth Grade Bites discussion

i recently finished the book and it turns out the evil teacher is Vlads uncle who is there to protect Vlad from people who are trying to find him. Vlads mood toward this man changed completely. Vlad is now very fond oh Mr. Otis( his uncle) and is sharing everything with him. Vlad also becomes more aware of what it means to be a vampire and he becomes more confident then what he was when he was bullied. At the end Vlad had to make a hard choice and had to trust someone who he thought was there for him then betrayed him. also Mr. Otis is leaving so Vlad will have to protect himself and nelly alone.

what do you think about it?

This would be Vald’s coming of age, journeying from a bullied boy into the beginning of manhood. He has a long hard road and many truths to face.
