If I ever get published, I want MY name on the book. Pen names used to interest me, but not anymore.
I use an author name but I didn't want to. When I started I discovered there was an established horror writer with my name so... I dredged up an old family name, kept my first and added Rory. That was a nickname at school and thus David Rory O'Neill was born. My real name still has to go in the copyright blurb. The eagle eyed will always know.
It's interesting reading the copyright small print.
John Le Carrie? No not really. David John Moore Cornwell.
Nice little thread this.

Jaye, Originality is a gift... one of which I do not possess :L

Well, there's already someone who writes erotica with my name. I write stories with a romantic edge, so it seems a little close for me (especially with one being paranormal, her apparent preferred genre). I may have to go for initials or something.Though when I was younger, I thought about using the name Aldrea K Alien. Honestly. It sort of stuck around as a forum handle instead. ^_^
