Pottermore discussion

A friend of mine who already has a Pottermore account told me that if you refresh the page for username selection or house sorting, you get to start again.

So if you're not happy with the 5 options you're given for usernames, you can always refresh the page and get another 5.

And you would refresh for the house sorting if you think you're gonna get a house that you dislike. If you do that, the quiz will start from the start again and then you'll be given another chance!

For the house sorting, the first time I did the test, I couldn't click on one of the answer I wanted to choose, and I was almost done. I didn't want to choose another answer not to change the result, so I closed the window and got back into pottermore. I had to start over the test and I had new questions to answer ( there are 40 existing questions but you're only asked 7)

I totally refresh my page all the time! I thought the Pottermore set up wouldn't allow you, but hey, they do!

Will definitely try that once I'm able to log on and stuff.

NO! DON'T DO THAT FOR THE SORTING! You will get into the house you belong in. It'll grow on you. Trust me, I hated Hufflepuff before, and now I can't imagine being in anything else. Everyone is so sweet and kind.

While I suppose I would do that for the naming (though I kind of like RiverThorn) I wouldn't do that with sorting. I mean isn't that the point of a true sorting? To be placed where you belong based on true answers, as opposed to just going where you want to go. Sure there are instances in the book but I think it takes the fun out of it if you just choose all the time.

Good tips though for those who do want to.

I can't believe you hated Hufflepuff! But I'm glad you like it now. :D

I was only going to really consider doing it with the usernames anyway, so no worries.

Yeah, that's just like me! Except I liked Slytherin from the start. They seem like a real friendly bunch.

Yeah. I thought they were like the leftover turkey dinner from Thanksgiving, the nothings. But now I see that they can be anything, and have qualities from all of the houses. Just because they're not in Ravenclaw doesn't mean they're dumb (I'm a straight A student), just because they're not in Slytherin doesn't mean they can't be ambitious (I have high hopes for my future... I know what I want), and just because they're not in Gryffindor doesn't mean they can't be brave (okay, I don't fit into this one at all, okay???).

You have an option of adding it in the settings. Then when you look at your blog there would be "follow" things under the followers thing.
Did that make sense?

LOL! Same here! I talk forever and try to explain myself so I don't seem like I don't know what I'm saying, but all my friends are like "that made NO entire sense" and then I have to say it again, but shorter!
And when I write essays for school, I always go over the requirement for the pages! If they day to write 5, I would write like 7!

we were supposed to write a letter in exam ( just for teaching us how to write a letter) and i wrote 2 and a half pages while others wrote 3 quarters of one page
