Annabel discussion

I am really enjoying this months selection. I think it helps, knowing the Canadian landscape, to easily picture what the author is writing, when she writes so descriptively.

I just finished it and what a great read. The writing is lovely!

Loved this book!

I was drawn to this book because it takes place in Eastern Canada where I live. I found it very well written, and an interesting topic.

You indicated that you found the book very well written but you only gave it 2 stars. Am curious what you didn't like or why you didn't rate it higher.

I just noticed you've changed the rating to 3 stars. I didn't mean to influence your rating. How you feel is how you feel. I was just curious about what it was that disappointed you.

Fantastic book!! Actually took a creative writing course with the author, wonderful lady :)

The writing was excellent. You could really feel for the characters. Could not put it down.

I finished reading 'Annabel' last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Well-written, moving and sensitive. Definitely worth a 5 star rating.

Such a good book. I'd like to discuss the ending, but....spoilers

MJ, I originally gave 2 stars soon after I finished the book. I just found the story so sad, that I didn't give it a fair review. after reflection I upgraded to 3 stars as it was a book well written and that must admit stays with me, it is not a novel that I will forget.
