The Aussie Swap discussion

So I'm just coming out of a seriously severe reading slump. It was terrible and I hadn't really read or finished anything for months! What managed to pill me out were some of the absolute best books I've read this year.
In fact, this seems to be a trend for me; I'll go into a slump and only the absolutely amazing books will drag me out.

So, in case if happens again and I need saving, what is the absolute BEST book you'd recommend to me that you've read this year? It can be old or new, but it must be brilliant! :)

I soemtimes find all favourites help me get out of slumps

The Daughter Of Smoke And Bone! It's pretty unanimously awesome. I mean, the average rating for it is like 4.5 here!

I've kinda had the same problem. I used to be reading like a book in a couple days. I was probaly reading 2 books a week - minimum. But I dunno, I haven't been reading as much, I'm still feeling abit slumpish. :( Which sucks!

Cannott recommend the Disillusionist trilogy by Carolyn Crane enough. Someone read it so we can discuss the absolute everything out of it!

I read the discription and thought, sounds odd and lame. But once i started the book drew me in so badly, and i give up on books relatively easy.
