Olivia's motto is very cruel (for someone who has self-steem or not), but it's very ironical how at some part of our life we follow it just because we are scared.

It has been awhile since I have read this book. What was Olivia's motto?

Give them what they want

'Give them what they want'
sometimes you may do that because you scared
sometimes because you like this person
sometimes because you don't want to argue
and sometimes because you confused , you don't know right from wrong so you don't have wishes and instead execute what others wish to fill what you miss.
I think Olivia was weak and alone and didn't find the help to guide her to the right way so Olaf used her to help him
