Think of this Thread as a filter. Some of you adventurous readers will be happy to look through all the author's books and find a new one to try. Others of you would like a recommendation from someone OTHER than the other. So here it is.
This is a place for readers to mention indie books they have read and think are worth recommending to others.

* These recommendations cannot be a friends, relatives or your book. I will do a little research and If I suspect that this is not an honest recommendation I will delete it.

Letizia Sechi (letiziasechi) To Read or Not to Read by Vincent Hobbes

I read a nice short story by Vincent Hobbes, To read or not to read. I enjoyed it and I downloaded THEY just today (free on kindle store). Has everyone ever read some story by this author?

Karen A. Wyle (kawyle) | 114 comments I just reviewed and enjoyed Ellen Ghyll's Chicken Feed. A lot of fun! (Any directors here? It'd make a terrific short mini-series.)

Karen (karenwb) | 10 comments I love Karen Cantwell's books. They are funny and light, sort of like if Lucy and Ethel met "Murder She Wrote." She has two full novels out right now and, I believe, is working on the third.

Take the Monkeys and Run (Barbara Marr Murder Mystery, #1) by Karen Cantwell

Citizen Insane (Barbara Barr Murder Mystery #2) by Karen Cantwell

Natalie Wright (nataliewright) | 18 comments I really enjoyed Joanna PennPentecost. A Thriller.. If you liked Davinci Code, you may like Pentecost.

I also recently picked up The List by JA Konrath. I like Konrath's humor and his books are an entertaining, fun ride.

Erika Tamblin (ETamblin) | 3 comments I just read The Colors of Qua by Elle Lapraim and then saw that the author is in this group. I really enjoyed it. It pulled at my heart strings. I don't usually read short stories but I really liked that I could sit and read it while I was waiting for my kids to get out of school. I just bought The Seamstresses by this author, cause it got really good reviews, but I have not read it yet.

Patricia Lynne (pjlauthor) A few indie books I've really enjoyed are Daylight Hours, Unnatural Selection, and Anomaly.
Anomaly had me writing my first book review.

Thea Atkinson (theaatkinson) | 10 comments Hey Patricia! thanks so much for mentioning Anomaly. Your review made me smile for days and still does when I go to read it for a pickmeup.

Patricia Lynne (pjlauthor) You're welcome Thea. What can I say, it is an awesome story and I'm still blown away by it months later. When someone asks me for indie book recommendations, that's the first one (when in fact my own book should be the first one eh? ^_~)

message 13: by Thea (new)

Thea Atkinson (theaatkinson) | 10 comments Really? wow. I'm both thrilled and honoured. How is Being Human coming along sales wise

message 14: by Patricia (new)

Patricia Lynne (pjlauthor) They are happening, little by little. Just uploaded a free (very) short story to smashwords that I hope will help generate exposure and interest. https://www.smashwords.com/books/view...

Thea Atkinson (theaatkinson) | 10 comments cool. I'll try to tweet that for ya!

P.J. Johns (PJJohns) | 8 comments I'd happily recommend The Emperor's Edge.

It's a Steampunk fantasy, and quite entertaining.

Anthony Bellaleigh (anthonybellaleigh) | 4 comments I stumbled across "Happy Snak" and the blurb grabbed me. It's a very entertaining and well written whacky sci-fi rom-com though it would seem that Nicole also writes more traditional Romance too...

Happy Snak by Nicole Kimberling

Kevin Basil | 40 comments Looking For Love In A Bar Called Eternity as well as The Fifty Cent Cafe by Andre Ferero are fantastic. I could not believe that I had came across them. Also, I recently read Soul Identity by Dennis Batchelder is a great read all around. I'm reading the sequel now and have no complaints about either.
