CanLit Challenge discussion

Hi all:

I'm a Canadian writer/teacher who has freelanced and edited in nonfic for years, but my great passion is fiction. Over the years, I've published shorts and essays and written a good number of novels.

I write character driven fiction (read that as literary fiction, but many folk shy away from that term as it's loosely defined as: that which does not sell. grin)

Most of my novels are set in Nova Scotia, where I'm from. I've been told my work reminds others of Annie Proulx, but I'm pretty sure those folks were just being kind. LOL.
