Don't give up! The first one isn't that good compared to the rest of the series. After the second one they start to get really good, with lots of mysteries :)

Well by seeing what people have posted City of Bones is a great series and her new series Clockwork Angel is quite good aswell. I just finished reading Hush Hush and I loved it, cannot wait to read Crescendo, but I decided I wanted to read vampire academy first. I'm only 4 pages in so I cannot tell you how that went yet.

I would like to recommend for those who like historical fiction the books of Ken Follett, and also - espically to the girls - Philippa Gregory.

Just checked out Divergent, Thirteen Reasons Why, Tempted, Burned, Dragon's Oath, Shiver, Linger, Forever, The Iron King, Bloodlines and City of Bones from the library. Hopefully these books are as good as everybody says they are.
This book is totally looked down upon and doesn't nearly have enough recognition in the YA book world
by Scott Westerfeld, it is actually amazing and cool and ahh!!! its just so good, please read it :)
My favorite book series of all time are the Gone series by Michael Grant ... these books do not get enough recognition. I think if more people were to read them, they could be turned into a movie!I also really love the Vanished by Meg Cabot ... I really love Meg cabot!!! And all her writing is fantastic beyond words.

Angelfire by Allison Moulton -5/5
Atlast a female protagonist who I don't want to strangle. She's not the woe me type and neither a damsel-in-distress.

I totally recommend these three (newer) books:
Have not yet read it. This was my sister's reccomendation. She got a ARC.
I recommend
which is a good book and a tear-jerker. It's not familiar with everyone.. but Elizabeth Chandler books are awesome.
also a good book which maybe a lot of people could relate to especially when you have a crush (it has a movie already. check out movie2k.com) and also
good book, I can't wait for the movie..
I read the first three books of the Vampire Academy series and now I don't want to read the fourth one because I don't think its going to be that good because of Dimitri but now I'm rethinking it...do you guys think I should read it?
