Drown discussion

I am a little over halfway through Diaz novel Drown. I am completely enthralled with this novel and cannot seem to put it down. There is nothing sugar coated in his use of vocabulary. He brings to live these young people that seem hopeless, yet despite everything they have endured in their lives- there is hope and they are okay with what their lives have handed them. They ride it off as just another day. Well done.
