What's it like writing in your local area?
Is there lots to inspire you, great places to write, and lots of great writers to mingle with? Or could it do with some improvement?

For any Australians interested in writing a novel: I am seeking expressions of interest for a 20 week Novel Manuscript Development Program, to start mid Feb 2012.

Random House Australia have agreed to let me submit outlines + samples for manuscripts from the Novel Manuscript Development Program directly to their publishers, which is great for aspiring novelists who don't have an agent. :)
At this stage, the most likely locations for the program to run is several of the following: Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth.
