Chrissie Thank you, Pragya! I have added it to my TBR shelf. I had never heard of this book before you mentioned it. This is exactly why I joined the group, to discover new books set in countries I want to learn more about.

Pragya (reviewingshelf) | 253 comments Most welcome, Chrissie. I hope you like it. I read it years ago when I was in school but I carry the impression that I liked it. :)

Chrissie Isn't it horrible that one forgets so much of the books one has read? That is one reason why it is good to write a review. You can go back and read it to remember the book. Reading your own review usually makes all your feelings and thoughts flood back.

Pragya (reviewingshelf) | 253 comments Oh yes. Ah, now I see the importance of writing a review. You are very right.

Chrissie And also, writing a review makes you figure out what you think of a book. Often I know how I am reacting, but I don't know why! Writing the review forces mùe to figure that out.

Pragya (reviewingshelf) | 253 comments Well, I guess I can understand what you are saying. It's like showing your feelings by writing it down, as it's difficult to find the right words to say it out aloud. Writing it down helps you mull it over, and sometimes you understand your feelings better that way!
