The first half takes place in the Mohave Desert(Kingman, Fort Mohave, Yucca, Lake Havasu). The book also has scenes in Tucson, Florence (renamed Purgatory), and Nogales.

I grew up in Arizona, so these areas are near and dear to me. Are you from the Zona?

Didn't grow up here but have lived here for the pas 12 years. 4 in Flagstaff and the rest in Havasu.

That's crazy, I lived in Flagstaff for 4 years (college) and basically grew up in Havasu (5th through 12th grade).

Don't you think Yucca already looks like the end of the world?

You're going to get a kick out of the first few chapters, I used a lot of existing land marks.
