Real or not?

(I think it's a bunch of B.S. but feel free to express your thoughts)

message 2: by anjali (new)

anjali Dont know what it is.

message 3: by John (new)

John Egbert (heirofbreath) | 492 comments Of course it's real. They say so. Check out MKULTRA, it's on wikipedia, it's a series of experiments conducted for...wait for it...mind control. Let's not even go into their control over the music industry.

The illuminati, well I don't know the exact definition, but it's basically evil people that work in the CIA. Well they aren't entirely evil -- they just want to control you. Which is actually pretty evil.

I can come back and expand if anyone's interested, I'm a bit of a paranoid kook but hey.

Hmmm. I still don't really believe in it. If it's real, then why is it out there? It's supposed to be secret, yet we all hype over it.

Well, I suppose it's B.S. when people claim that certain musicians are in it. How do you know? What evidence?

message 5: by John (new)

John Egbert (heirofbreath) | 492 comments LOL, obviously it's working since you don't believe in it because it's out there :P

Well, besides the fact that their songs contain hidden demonic messages if you look at the companies that control them as well as what they often surround themselves with...basically everything means something. If you're constantly surrounded by black in your music video you're trying to say something, subconsciously or not, just as an example. I wouldn't say it's obvious because it isn't but if you look I think it's there.

message 6: by Anony-miss (new)

Anony-miss a-non-y-miss | 399 comments Mod
You do have a point there.

There are a lot of bands who have a video where they preform in a black room, or dark room. I could start a whole book listing those.

Hmmm, I believe that songs are also open for interpretation, and if that's what you think than that's that.

message 7: by John (new)

John Egbert (heirofbreath) | 492 comments Ahaha reverse psychology, no?

I know that. But it was just an example. For instance, did you know that red, black and white together are colours used for hypnosis? If a band is constantly wearing those colours maybe it means something.

But yes, songs are open for interpretation. If one thing means that to me it could mean another entirely to you, so perhaps that's not the best example.

Sorry, these were the first albums that came to mind xD

message 9: by John (new)

John Egbert (heirofbreath) | 492 comments Well you know what that means --- IT'S ALL EVIL MIND CONTROL...wait, no. lol.

Really, this stuff isn't about any of that. It's just about knowing what you're reading or watching or listening to. I still listen to Rhianna even...wait, no I don't. I hate Rhianna. Well if I liked her I'd still listen to her despite the hidden meanings I believe are in those songs. I just want to know what they are, that's all :P

Um, jeez, you could at least read my posts first :P

Search MKULTRA, please. And when you come back then you can make all the insults to the idea you want (well you can make them now but you know what I mean), but at least see that. Please?

Don't be naive, Cody. Do you think they just stopped? There are plenty of things going on now you don't know about.

True true, but sorry I'm not going to live my life in a paranoid fashion to avoid government mind control. I know the government has thousands of classified ops going on, but I'm not going to let that decrease the quality of my life.

message 18: by John (new)

John Egbert (heirofbreath) | 492 comments No no no, that's not what I meant. It's not about being paranoid. It's just about knowing what you're listening to or watching, what's actually on the screen and what they're trying to tell you. I was paranoid before I knew about it. And I'm paranoid now because I'm a naturally paranoid person. But the whole point is not letting it control you, so why let it decrease the quality of your life lol

message 19: by Cody, Ninja (new)

Cody (rolinor) | 905 comments Mod
OH I get it, yeah, be aware, but don't go crazy, I'm okay with that and naturally do it on my own. Hell I'm a bit paranoid, I sleep with a knife under my pillow and there are about three knives on my computer desk.

message 20: by John (new)

John Egbert (heirofbreath) | 492 comments Cody wrote: "OH I get it, yeah, be aware, but don't go crazy"

Yup. These people -- or at least the intelligent ones -- providing this information just want to do that, provide information. If you're aware of something logic says it'll be harder affecting your subconscious, so that's my take on it.

Whoa, and I thought I had paranoia problems xP I wish I had some knives to randomly keep. I know one of my buddies owns a wickedly cool (and sharp) dagger with a dragon curled around the hilt. Anyhow.

There's some supposed list of members of the Illuminati. I've heard something about Madonna being in it? :-P

Lol on my dresser I see a dagger and knife... Hmm I don't even know what's all in my closet, let's just say a lot of sharp and pointy object, hmm I have two bo staves to my left and two bows to my right and a lot of other stuff that I could potentially use as weapons :) I'm more of a collector then anything lol.

Brigid ✩ I'm not sure if the illuminati is real or not but I find the idea intriguing. I didn't know about it until someone told me on one of my first days at college. Since it was explained to me I've noticed a lot of music videos seem to have the plot of someone becoming evil/possessed, or they have some kind of subliminal message thing going on.

The person who told me about it used the music video for "Umbrella" by Rihanna as an example. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvBfHw...) At about 2:41 there's a flash of her in this position that's physically impossible and is apparently a demonic symbol.

I don't know if these things necessarily prove that the illuminati is real, but it does creep me out a little.

The real Illuminati broke up around 1785. The imaginary Illuminati will never die so long as there are Conspiracy Theorists who need a strawman organization to take the blame for their own failure to earn high office. No one, repeat no one, living today, has ever been proved an Illuminati in a court of law.

The Illuminati is more than likely loosely based on some degree of truth, as most legends are. However, the speculative history on them seems to be pretty scarce and rather haphazardly concocted.

Most credible historians would probably assert that the Illuminati were once upon a time, a legitimate organization that attempted to gain political control of their immediate environment, and met with some degree of success (as well as some degree of failure).

From that stage moving forward, it probably became more "myth" than reality in the stories that were handed down among the people.

It's an intriguing story and a fun idea that captures the imagination, however any evidence that they actually existed in any way that actually impacted the world is for the most-part, non-existent, and probably not because they were "so good at covering their tracks."

Really, the reason no real evidence of their influence exists is likely because they never have, nor do they now, have any real influence.

By and large, it's a story and a myth, not a fact. It's fiction, not history.

^grabbed from WikiAnswers (yeah, yeah) but I wholeheartedly agree.

This kind of idiotic skeptism makes my eyes twitch (that's right, BOTH OF EM).

Uh...sorry Tenebris ._.'

The real Illuminati never broke up, but they sure are thankful for those who think like that. It makes it much, much easier for them.

Hm, guess why it's not been proved, some of them probably ARE the court of law.

...

...

DUHHH.

(Look, I'm not a conspiracy theorist or anything but this particular thing does not seem like something you can just brush off. It was proved time. And time. Again. And people don't want to listen because they want to be stuck in some sort of fantasy world where our government is actually helpful in some way to it's people.

Just sayin'.)

Sorry if I may seem a bit rude...but I hope you see my point.

I don't think they exist, but it's not impossible, and yes it is terrifying o.o

message 35: by Isaac (new)

Isaac No, it's more like the media try to like brainwash people into something darker like Satanism or something.

It's kind of hard to explain.

message 36: by Anony-miss (new)

Anony-miss a-non-y-miss | 399 comments Mod
I wouldn't say Satanism (the religion) is that dark of one, it's just a thing people believe. And I don't think it's linked to this group, if it even exists.

message 37: by Isaac (new)

Isaac I wasn't sure how to explain it.

What would you say?

message 38: by Anony-miss (new)

Anony-miss a-non-y-miss | 399 comments Mod
I don't really believe in the Illuminati. It seems way too hyped up and too .. abstract .. to really believe in. When you look up "evidence" for the Illuminati, you see videos with titles like LOOK AT THIS YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT or IT EXISTS - JUST LOOK AT THIS!! and it seems .. urgent. In an almost cheesy propaganda way.

If you were asking about Satanism, it's basically you make up your own morals. Nothing overall cult-y about it. They have a church and a book, too. I mostly know about Anton LeVey Satanism.

message 39: by Isaac (new)

Isaac When I was meaning Satanism, I was talking about the darker side with all the devil-worshipers and stuff... you know what I mean? Not the ones that choose their own morals.

message 40: by ♥ Rachel♥, Hey, whoa, I'm a mod! (new)

♥ Rachel♥ (i_got_a_jar_of_dirt) | 767 comments Mod
That's fake Satanism :P Real Satanists don't worship the devil, they just agree with him (I think).

message 41: by Isaac (new)

Isaac ...Then what do you call devil-worshiping ones?

message 42: by Cody, Ninja (new)

Cody (rolinor) | 905 comments Mod
Non-existent for the most part. LaVeyan Satanists are atheists who believe in self indulgence, "eye for and eye", and individualism.

Luciferianism says that Satan is actually "The Light Bringer"

Our Lady of Endor Coven considers Satan to be bringers of knowledge of the true god Ophite to Eve in the Garden of Eden.

Their are very very few people who follow Theistic Satanism, or follow Satan as a deity. Many claim to not be part of Christianity.
