With the Kindle version, I'm finding it too easy to fall asleep... ;)67% through after spending the early part of the afternoon fixing one of the toilets in my house. Whee.
I can't get the Kindle version of most new books from the library, unfortunately. And I don't buy a book unless I know I want to own it.
I'm still on the waiting list for the book on CD from my library :) .. I did read Ready Player One though
This is a good audio book for more reasons than one, I see. The narration is very good and my mp3 player is a lot lighter than the hardcover by a few pounds or so.
@Jenny: I know how you feel, Anathem felt like a brick in hardback when I read it.@Philip: Nice to know the narration is good. I'm currently reading in eBook format, but am tempted to jump to Audio. Just struggling to find time to finish it (last ~20%). Though I am torn as to using an Audible download just for 20% of a book.
@Tamahome: Ha!

I believe this system contracts with Overdrive for their emedia catalog/checkout system; if yours does too, you might see Kindle compatibility sooner rather than later.

Bill, we do have that integration, but it is the same old offerings- a sprinkle here, a new book there, rarely anything I want. I was hopeful the Kindle integration would open up all of Amazon's holdings, but not even close! I did notice they have The Night Circus available though, so there's one....
Philip wrote: "@Andrew- The last part is really a page turner. You might find yourself losing sleep for it."I hope so. I'm in the last 40% and I'm finding myself not really caring what happens. I'm going to push myself to finish mainly because I feel like I've read 600 pages so whats 400ish pages more. I also hate leaving books unfinished.
I have been reading this on iPad, and I have to say... iPads really hurt when you nod off and drop them on your forehead.
