((I'll just reuse Shen's opening, too.... >lazy))Shen sat in a tree not too far off from Kyle's truck, observing silently with his hood pulled up as he watched others go about with their business. Hmm... I never thought High School was "fun", but everyone seems to be having a good time... Other than a select few. The scent of prey was thick in the air, but he quelled the animalistic desire with a shove. His monotone-nature didn't give him much interest in anything, really.
His attention only perked when a girl with long purple hair -- whom he recognized as Kyle (his best friend)'s little sister -- headed in his general direction. His breath almost caught in his throat as he though he was spotted up in the tree; but he relaxed as soon as he saw that she was meeting someone near the car below him. The roof of the red truck blocked his view of who was behind it, but Shen knew well enough who it was. As soon as he was sure that the girl couldn't see him, Shen sneakily crawled around the back of the tree, then used the shadows to teleport himself to the ground.
With a slightly cough and the re-adjustment of his hood, Shen slipped his hands into his pockets and headed around the back of the truck to meet with Kyle; hoping that no one had noticed his little 'magic' trick.
((I'll write something new...))
Kyle put the truck in reverse and turned to check if the road is clear when he saw Shen approaching. He put the truck in park again and Clover gave him a confused look. He shrugged at her and rolled down the window.
"Hey Shen! What are you doing here?"
((okay, I didn't change it that much))

((It's still kinda new :P))Shen lifted an eyebrow, merely hopping into the bed of the trunk. "Getting a lift. It's a bad idea to park in the middle of an exit, you know." He replied mysteriously, not really answering the question; though when he met Kyle's eyes, they were a bit off.
((No idea where it's gonna go this time. Ideas?))
"Am I taking you to your house, or do you want to come home with me?" Kyle asked, taking it all in stride.
((Um... Do you still want to have that organization that's involved with the Oni or not?))
((Um... Do you still want to have that organization that's involved with the Oni or not?))
((Dunno. Maybe we should make a vigilante group instead? That way more people can be involved. Instead of this huge organization... OR we can keep it. I dunno.))"My house? It's a wreck, don't bother." Shen scoffed, his voice flat. "Might as well go to yours. Aside from that, mind explaining why you have a high school girl in your cab? I never knew you were the Lolita type."
Jaden strolled along the in the parking lot, hands in his black and green leather jacket. He whistled a bit and listened as it echoed back to him. The underground parking was funner than it looked. He came to his green Kawasaki, placed his black and green helmet on his head and started up the motorcycle. His first day of school was tomorrow and he needed to get back and take care of the stray he'd picked up. It was amazing how much responsibility a person had once they were on their own. Even more amazing was how someone actually cared about their responsibility when doing it solo. Well, that had lasted a week. Jaden had rented an apartment, no pets allowed, (excluding Timer) and he had come to realize he would die without the all you can eat buffet. He couldn't cook, so it was a big score. Especially that one brunet waitress, Kary. Jaden drove out of the parking lot, and into the street. Jaden walked up the steps to the third floor. He didn't trust elevators very much, it was a long story. When he opened the door he spied something green on the ceiling instantly. He tossed his keys onto the counter and shouldered his jacket off, slinging it over a chair and went to the small kitchen. The green stripe on the ceiling started moving, slithering along until it reached the cupboards and as Jaden grabbed a mug, it jumped and landed on the side of the mug, clinging to it. Timer was a salamander. Bright green. She wasn't like a normal lizard, or normal anything for that. She was a rescue, she had been sleeping on top of his motorcycle seat when he'd found her. Jaden poured chocolate milk into the mug and placed it into the microwave, with Timer still on the side of the mug, and closed the door to heat up the choco. Jaden watched as Timer spun slowly around on the mug in the microwave, then went over to the radio and turned it on, then went to a stack of mail he had on his small, round kitchen table. A minute later the microwave beeped, and Jaden had shredded all of his mail. He opened the microwave door and took the mug out. Timer was still on the side of the mug, a bright, slightly dark red. Jaden gingerly drank from the mug as he sat at his computer to check his e-mail. He had missed his appointment again. His therapist wasn't too happy. He drank from the mug and shut his computer off.
Jaden quickly hid Timer in a mafia hat and put it on his head. He was wearing a dark blue striped, silk, button-up, long sleeve shirt, and some kind of fancy pants that were black, and some shiny shoes. He also had a fuzzy kind of black vest, felt like velvet, and so all in all he looked like a complete mafia gang leader, only lacking the thick cigar. He didn't know why, but he felt rich enough to dress like this. Too bad he didn't smoke. He walked along through a long hallway. Fancy stuff. He was just wandering with no aim and no desire of destination. Just bored. Jaden went down some stairs and came to some doors leading outside. He was at a big fancy, high priced mall in NY. Doing what he did best.
((Hey Dawning.... Mind if the girl I just made pairs with Jaden?~~~ :3))As Kyle's truck rumbled to life, Shen settled into the bed of the back; his irises a cautious obsidian black. Years of hiding had made him paranoid about relatively everything, and right now was no exception.
Lightly sniffing the wind, he caught the scent of elves, dwarves, humans and faries, all mixed within one another. That high-school is co-ed...? Shen wondered, as they were actually quite rare. But I didn't know that Hybrids were allowed, too... They've been neutral since the global announcement of mythical immersion*. He rationalized quickly, eyes flicking around as he looked for where the scent was coming from. Unsettled, he took a breath and quietly let it out. This is... Unusual.
((* what he's talking about is something that I thought I could adapt from a previously agreed upon Plot... Mythological creatures are accepted in society, but not all of them. Vampires, due to their nature of feeding, are usually underground and pose as fairies or humans with abilities. Dwarves, Werewolves and Fairies usually live in their own societies in other places, but interact freely. Interracial breeding is usually uncommon but happens. Demons are accepted only when they vow to stay in human form 24/7 and will be otherwise purged.
Hylian, is that description acceptable?))))
((I changed my charries first name....))
Dante ran towards the school, panicked. "Oh, no... I'm gonna be late again..." She ran across the street, not seeing the car coming until it was too late.

((Wait... I thought school was ending?))
Elli was walking through the back lot to the woods when she heard the screeching of tires and blares of horns. She doubled back to see what happened when she saw the girl on the pavement. Elli leaned close and heard a heart beating slowly. She looked at her face and saw the startling eyes staring back at her. "Are you ok?" she asked slightly shaken.
((She's helping as a tutor after school))
Dante whimpered in pain. "My leg..... I think it's broken....."

"Here, come over here and let's see if we can fix it. Do you want the police here to question everyone or no? If so, I better leave." She glanced around nervously as she helped the battered girl to the nearest bench.
Dante shook her head. "It's not like they'd be able to do anything about it...." She winced. "It you could help me set the bone, I can fix it enough so I'll be able to walk on it."
"That, I can do!" Elli replied relieved because she still didn't know the extent of her abilities. She reached into her back pack and pulled out some bone setting stuff and set the supplies on the ground.

((What do you mean? And you can just call me Dawn. ^-^))
Jaden ran his index finger over the front rim of his hat then flicked it up a bit, bringing his arm down and setting his hand in his pocket. "Ay, how much is that?" He asked nodding to the computer.
An old, bored, balding man slouched, lazily looking at the computers. "With the monitor and keyboard and mouse the computer comes to a total of 10,000 dollars."
Not so bad. If the man hadn't been monotoned and if Jaden had at least enough money to pay rent of his own small apartment.
Jaden "hmphed" in the way New Yorkers did and turned around, striding away with an air of grace. Well, if they were worth that much, they would sell on the black market for about double the price. Jaden deftly glanced up at a security camera as he passed through the store doors.
Dante closed her eyes, drawing on her power so that once the bone was set, she would be ready.
Elli set the bone and looked up at the girl she asked worriedly, "Is there anything else I can do?"
((Outside, on a bench across the street from the school...))
Dante smiled ruefully. "Don't freak out." She touched her leg over the break, and her leg burst into flames.

"You are telling me to not freak out!" Elli cried out as she saw the leg burst into flames. She accidently switched into slow time (what she calls slowing time) and started to nervously playing with her hands.
Hylian Princess wrote: "((yeah, your description is great))"((Okay, thanks!~ Now Post :P))
((Dawn: What I was asking was if Lily Grace (the girl I made recently) could meet up with Jaden. I think it'd be interesting, since they're both Shifters...))
Dante sighed in relief, letting the flames die. "Well, how else was I supposed to heal myself?"
((Oh! Yeah sure! You want them to be friends? Like just met a year ago friends? Childhood friends? Or just barely meet in the rp?))
((Hmmm..... Childhood friends? That okay with u? I never do it, and a twist is nice sometimes. :) ))
((Sure!~))"Planning on another job...?" A young clerk asked Jaden, falling into step beside him. Long black hair flowed behind slim shoulders, grey eyes peering curiously at him from behind fringed bangs. "I... I don't think I can help you with this one." Her voice got quieter, delicate hands fidgeting nervously. "I have a bad feeling today... I-It's been like this the entire afternoon. That man behind the counter... I don't like him. He's too... He makes me too..." Lily Grace struggled to find the words for a moment, finally coming to a conclusion after a long pause, "...Edgy."
"O, i don't know, I just think my cuts away." Noticing how that sounded silly she packed up her bag and turned to leave.
Dante bit her lip. "Wait.... What's you're name?"
((Sorry! No one else has joined Kyle, Clover and Shen have they, cuz I'm too laze to read))
"She's my sister!" Kyle called out the window as he drove.
"Can I ask who is that guy you're letting ride in the bed of your truck?" Clover asked.
"That's Shen, a good friend of mine. I'm sorry you haven't met him before," Kyle replied.
It was a short ride back to the apartment where Kyle and Clover lived alone.

Jaden inwardly smiled to himself when Lilly Grace came up to him, but the light sort of faded at the expression on her face. He listened closely, then he looked over his shoulder for the flicker of a second to mark the said man in his mind. "Edgy how?" He asked softly, his eyes back on Lilly Grace's. If that man was doing anything to her....
Oh, wonderful. I truly do dislike family.... But she's my best friend's sister. I guess I can let one slide. Shen sighed, shaking his head. I guess I can talk freely when we get to their house... I'll arrange a barrier... I just hope I wasn't followed... Another glance around the surroundings quelled his paranoia for the moment, but there was no telling with these things. I get to rest for just a century, and then they're back terrorizing the world...Lily Grace only sighed, shaking her head. "I don't know. I feel like he's... He's on to us. He... Mason, he..." She called the man by his given name, a shiver running down her spine. "...I don't know. I... I think I'm going to quit soon. I mean... I never really liked it here in the first place." She anxiously tugged on the strap of her clerk apron, her eyes looking up to meet his. "Can't... Can't I just go where you work? It'd be so much easier..."
Jaden maqueraded a smile, pulled a hand from his pocket and reached out to fix some flyways on Lily Grace's head. "I'll pick you up when you get off work." He said lightly and winked at her. He didn't want to say anything while in public. "I got a new ride, I have to show her to ya. How much longer do you have?"
The truck bumped it's way into the parking lot of Kyle's apartment complex and came to a stop in it's usual parking space in the far corner. Clover grabbed her pack and slipped out of the truck. She met Kyle on the other side and began to lead the way to their apartment.
((Sorry!!))
Elli looked over her shoulder and replied, "Elli, my name is Elli. And you?"

Shen woke from his daze when the wheel's breaks screeched in his ears. Getting up without complaint, he hopped out of the bed of the truck and landed without a sound, stepping lightly after Kyle and Clover. "...Kyle." He called out, his eyes locking on his back. "A word, if you could spare?"Lily Grace blushed lightly, pink dusting her vanilla complexion. "S... Sorry. Okay. I'm off in an hour..." She stopped walking suddenly and took Jaden's hand with both of her own, hugging it gently. "...Please don't be late..."
Gloria watched the scene with Elli and Dante unfold from where she sat on the nearby park bench. With a nimble flick of a switch in her mind, she allowed herself to be seen, posing as if she'd been there the whole time and had only been napping. Pretending to awaken, she saw Dante and quickly kneeled down, and asked, "Are you alright?"
Kyle turned.
"You're welcome to come inside, if you'd like," he said, gesturing at the apartment complex. Clover turned and watched the two, a somewhat suspicious though amused expression tugging at her facial features.

He took his free hand and wrapped it around her shoulders, pulling her into a hug. "Don't worry," he whispered into her ear, "We'll talk." He pulled away and stepped back, saluting her. "I think you need to get back to your job for now, eh?"

Shen glanced untrustingly at the door, but he walked towards it despite his mild paranoia. "...Alright. But I'll have to go soon." He spoke firmly, his hands in his jeans pockets; his mind thinking of exits the moment he set foot in the appartment. I'm actually quite thankful he gave me persmission to enter the complex... If he didn't, it would be hard to explain... He sighed, remembering the threshold rule that controled him due to his vampiric nature. After taking a breath to calm his nerves, he gave a nod to Kyle to lead the way... wherever his apartment happened to be in the building.Lily Grace's blush got deeper, but she nodded and attempted to smile up at Jaden. "I... I guess so." She agreed readily, reluctantly letting go of his hand. "Bye." She waved a little bit, returning to her place behind the desk, trying to appear strong by not looking back to see Jaden leave.
"Who's that, your boyfriend?" One of her co-workers commented, making her turn red. "N-No...!" She replied quickly, trying to cover up her embarrassment. "...Childhood friend..."
Kyle nodded and led the way up the stairs and down a hall to where Clover already stood waiting for him. He unlocked the door and Clover pushed it open and disappeared into her room.
"Yes she is fine. Thanks for helping!" Elli replied. "Wait." she quickly look through the time after the accident and noticed the girl appearing, "You weren't here before?!?"
"I was here before." Gloria uttered truthfully, then smiled mysteriously. "Sometimes people just don't see me."
"Well, good luck with that!" Elli cried out as she fast-walked to the forest.
Elli slowly turned around fear flickered across her face but quickly disappeared behind a mask of not caring. "What do you mean? I am different if you are asking that... I really got to go!"

Kyle drummed his fingertips on the steering wheel of his big red truck, watching the wave of high schoolers pouring out of the large building. He finally spotted his sister waving some cheery farewells before running across the lawn to hop into the vehicle.
"Thanks again for picking me up," Clover smiled for her brother as she did everyday. Kyle returned the expression and told her that he didn't mind.Ever since the death of his parents and brother just five years ago, Kyle had been Clover's only guardian.
