Half way through The Killing Kind by John Connolly and The Behaviour of Moths by Poppy Adams - not sure on this one yet, will give it a few more pages!
I'm continuing with Bird Songs & Calls of Britain & Northern Europe and I started How I Killed Pluto and Why It Had It Coming by Mike Brown on the weekend and so far I'm thoroughly enjoying it. I'm also going to make a start on Not Before Bed by Craig Hallam, which the author very kindly provided a free pdf version of after I didn't win it in the GR giveaway.Other than that who knows...
I couldn't get into The Marriage Plot at the moment so picked up The Radley's which I got as an arc when it came out. It's good so far...
I want to finally finish The Dispossessed: An Ambiguous Utopia which is swiftly sapping my will to live. Then I want to read something FUN! There are still a few horror titles I'd like to get to before Halloween.November seems like a much more serious month than October, so I'll need to read serious things then, and hopefully work on my state and world challenges a bit.
I hope to finish The Ghost Writer today. I'm really enjoying it. I'm about 1/2 thru Iron House. This book is fantastic!

I really need a good book or two (or twelve) right now. Seems like a LONG time since I handed out 5 stars to anything!
I am on page 125 of The Memory of Love. I heard great things about it but so far...meh. The writing is lovely, but I'm having a hard time caring about these characters.
I just started Nanjing Requiem, but I'm not sure about it. I don't like historical fiction that features actual historical figures as characters.
I'm halfway through Cinderella Ate My Daughter: Dispatches from the Frontlines of the New Girlie-Girl Culture and am really enjoying it (and kind of scared by it). I think this is an important book for all parents of girls to read.
Wanted to start something new today but looks like another week on The Lake of Dead Languages. I agree with Stacey.... Stupid grocery shopping, house work, bill paying, kids homework etc..
Working my way through a couple of non-fiction books this week--What It is Like to Go to War and Blood, Bones & Butter: The Inadvertent Education of a Reluctant Chef.
I am seriously into Cry of the Panther by Adam Armstrong - was reading it before and in the interval of the concert tonight. His writing is gorgeous, I fell in love with his other book Song of the Sound two years ago. They are just so brilliant.
