I only remember the basics. A girl somehow gets involed with a graverobbing business where a doctor is taking bodies from graves. through out the story more info is leared about the assasination of lincon at the beging of the book. the girls friend or her friends mother ends up being hanged for being part of the consperisy. i read it at least 4-5 years ago.
