question
Compassion for zombies?

Along with vampires and werewolves, zombies have increased in popularity in recent years. Zombies are by far and away my favorite and completely scare the crap out of me, but this book wasn't scary. What it did, for me atleast, was show zombies as people and I felt genuine compassion for the dead characters. By the end I was rooting for these undead flesh eaters and hated the living. My question is, how did you feel? Was it compassion or disgust?

Compassion...that's why this is one of my favorite books ever. It takes a genre and turns it on its head, showing us who the real monsters can be. Plus it made me laugh. Who wouldn't laugh at mom-loaf for dinner? I was in tears at the end.
