This is Ernest Hemingway's not mine. He started the idea when asked to tell a sad story in as few words as possible:For sale: baby shoes, never worn.
Caroline, wow - that just goes to show how powerful six words can be.It doesn't surprise me that Twitterers did not invent the game - "Oh My God! They killed Kenny!" is a popular twitter response.

What goes up must - look out! Hope that makes sense. I've been doing five-word stories for a while at my blog fivewordstories. The idea was to take the famous Hemmingway model and whittle it down even more. Haven't updated it recently though.
